I picked this up in Idaho a yesterday. I’m a sucker for Birdseye maple. Big and fat, though lightweight.

Is there anyway to date Schmelke’s? This is the first older one I’ve seen with a...
I was watching that cue. To me it looks like the butt cap has been replaced and the pin has been modified. I was thinking it was an old Joss, but the “modifications” kept me from bidding.
I just found this today. I’m assuming late 80’s early 90’s. The joint is wooden not phenolic. I have a feeling it is from a special run of cues that Jim Oswald from Billiards N Bagels has made.
I’m not sure if they still are, but Bear was a line of Adam cues for the European market if I recall correctly. I’d think you could find a better deal if you looked. I believe that cue is made in China, but don’t quote me on it.

But he would need to be looked at by a doc. There are so many variables as to why one cannot concentrate, let alone concentrate on a game of pool.
No, but I bought it from a guy who bought it while he was in college in the 70’s. The cue is a few years older than me. It has the RH7 logo on it designating it a Renaissance model #7 cue.
I just noticed it has the same butt cap and joint as the last cue in you group.
