Brand New Andy Gilbert - You Guessed it, Ebony on Ebony

Another very successful design. Congratulations Jamie and compliments to the Gilberts. I so enjoy seeing new and different ways of expressing classic design...Andy has a true old school aesthetic with modern precision. That is the best of both worlds to me.

    Gus Szamboti for Sale,,,

Saw this one in person and was very impressed. Kenny, that wrap is so perfectly pressed and the veneer colors remain vivid. This cue was owned by someone who knew what they had and cared for it well. Truly a monster player with 10/10 collector appeal.

    Old Meucci and Case Value

The case looks like a Viking to me too. Not overly valuable ~$100-$150 and the cue looks more Huebler than Meucci to me...but this is just off the cuff, it is gorgeous and worth a little research. Good insights about the brass pin and also the shaft inserts. Huebler used plastic.

    Kersenbrock (fiddleback purple heart)

Elegant; rich PH with black accents. Surely at the top of the catch. Not to sound like a criticism, I had been told Kersenbrock was careful to regester his shaft ringwork to the butt so all stitches were aligned. Having only seen a scarce few, I can't really say that specific detail was...

a cool first from a world class cuemaker

Bandwagon vs badwagon...the point is well slipped. I hear you loud and clear and agree. there is no one size fits all or single correct opinion.

a cool first from a world class cuemaker

Tascarella cues often use smooth leather executed perfectly. Ginacues, as you are surely aware, tend to have index lines at the top and bottom of the wrap as a function of Ernie's method of installation. I didn't notice such lines on this cue which said Tasc to me. I've seen this old school...

a cool first from a world class cuemaker

Bill this has been a fun thread for me as I pride myself on being able to spot a maker's "style" and identify most cues on sight. I see Tascarella in the wrap, diamonds, butt sleeve proportions and those distinct yellow veneers. I lose Tascarella at the teardrops rosewood spacers and...

Steve Davis Personal Playing Cue FS

I have Steve Davis' snooker cue available. The cue is very plain; ebony and ash with a pitted metal joint. The champion's name is discretely burned into the forearm of the butt. The cue was stored many years in the care of Jim Rempe, friend to Davis who kept the cue for use when he was...

    Carolina Custom

I've owned a couple CC cues and found they both played well. Trevor was a pleasure to deal with and I would not hesitate to place confidence in his commitment to his customer. In my experience, he stands by his work. If you find a cue that you like, I say buy and enjoy. I've got no regrets...

Palmer Rosewood Box Cue Unchalked Relisted F/S

Felix and Will Thanks for the kind words. Parting with a cue isn't pleasant but reading your endorsements makes me feel much better. I appreciate what you said.

    Fancy scruggs

I had the distinct pleasure of hitting a few balls with the ivory abalone propeller Scruggs. Assuming it was not a similar cue, I can say your cue is the best hitting Scruggs I've ever played. Congratulations, it's a masterpiece.

Palmer Rosewood Box Cue Unchalked Relisted F/S

The original buyer never followed through with his agreement. These things happen. The Palmer cue is being relisted and offered for a blowout price of $400, delivered. No catch...no disappointments. The cue is as new, unchalked and original. Model 10, top of the line made under the Palmer...

FS: Ebony on Ebony Southwest with Triple Veneers

Tap Tap Tap Honorably represented. It is good to have full disclosure for a change. actioncentral sounds like a seller to trust. Lori tells me I'm near the top of the list and can expect a cue in 2014...so even for ebony, I'm out right now. This cue is a beauty though.

    Two Meucci's and Retired Mcdermott

I've always liked Meuccis with white wraps. The sealed wrap has never really seemed necessary until antique white linen was used. The wrap stays white and looks great with finish applied. Enjoy the cues

    These are MICARTA Ferrules

I've got an old Bob Weir cue with yellow micarta joint and ferrules. Wow does that cue hit em well. If you can get ahold of the real old Westinghouse product, it has superior playability. Not sure what health risks prompted it to be pulled from the market in the first place, but were it...

Anyone ever see one of these?

I bought a Schon some years ago purported to have an ivory butt cap. I spoke to Evan in an effort to verify the cue. He told me back then that there were no ivory butt cap Schon cues. There were, however, ivory joint Schon cues. You may well have ivory and it may be a rare Schon. Be careful...

    Original Mcdermott D-24 F/S.

Final bump on this one before I send it out for restoration. The cue is too good to give up on and has plenty of racks left in it... my description is harsh and thorough about imperfections but the cue is readily playable as is. Will send it out Tuesday if no one wants to buy it in used...
