Yes, this is it. You can't see the wood part at the bottom, but it's the wire chalk holders in the pic. Good job!

Bottom right is an unknown. It was cut off at the place I first saw this too. I'll ask there and see if someone knows. The film looks like a 110 cartridge. There were cameras that used 126mm and 110mm cartridges. Point and shoot. Now you see them as completely self contained cardboard...

    Slowest pro players?

A few years ago, going to what may have been my first time spectating at the Turning Stone, I watched Luc play a match against Jennifer Barretta. I never heard of Luc before, and knew Jennifer by name from the pool movies she was in. What a dichotomy of styles that was. Jennifer was...

    Turning Stone XL

We live a little less than 90 minutes drive east of Turning Stone, and we try to make the trip for a full day whenever they have this tournament. I have pool friends that play in the event, and we went up on Friday this time, so we got to watch them play in-person. Just as you reference, we...

APA SL Q - Based on 'Bud Light'

He's still a 4. And yes, classic sandbagging if you ask me. He played for years on a team that is full of them. He's a nice enough guy but definitely has his own agenda for some things. I've had a guy on his old team miss an 8 ball with ball-in-hand on an empty table. My player made her last...

Have you ever lost your cue?

aa It's almost always someone you know that does these things. Living in a fairly rural area, this has been something my GF has made a point about in more than a few instances. Funny how women have that sense for who is actually a lowlife douchebag, and her instinct has proven it self enough...

APA SL Q - Based on 'Bud Light'

I have a guy on my 8 ball team that dropped from a 5 to a 4 last session. Multi year player, in the league since 2013, with well over 300 matches in the system. He went 0-8 prior to that drop, and it was feeling pretty suspicious to the rest of us on the team. He also plays on at least one...

    Turning Stone XL

Haven't seen this mentioned here yet, so I'll do that here. Thursday starts the next Turning Stone Classic. Runs from Thursday through Sunday. Upstate Al usually has a table that he live streams, and I think he has a way to view every one of the 16 tables if you upgrade your access a bit. I...

    Billiard Dice..................

Very Cool! I like the element of randomness this adds. One of the players on my APA team made a die with all the people's names on a side. Whenever we can't decide who should play next, she whips out the die and we use that to decide.

Honda's Silver Wing is their big scooter. Used to be a regular touring kind of bike, now a scooter.

    Techniques

I remember reading on here about taking extra time on long, straight in shots. Don't remember all the specifics from that person's original post, but it was about going through your normal PSR, getting down, and then just when you'd normally make the shot, wait and look at it from that position...

Have you ever lost your cue?

Once, in a pool story from not that long ago, I got to the location for our APA Tri Cup early, and when the place opened we got a table for some practice. We had about a half hour or so before they started calling matches, and as the rest of our team got there, we all rotated in to play a bit...

Is there such a thing as a good quality 6 foot table for sale in the USA?

We have a few locations in our local APA that use six footers. I think they're either Valley or Great American tables. Great American lists different sizes on their web site, and they even have one they call a "Kiddie Table" that looks to be made the same way (600 lbs) but is even smaller.

New Cue Syndrome -- Real or Imagined

Exactly. I was going to make this same reference. I know guys that play pro golf that have a couple of the exact same putter, and when they hit a little slump, they switch putters. All psychological, kind of a placebo effect kind of thing. It's real and measurable for the person experiencing...

    GoSports 6' table

I've posted this picture before, and I wait for someone to mention Irving Kaye so I can post it again. This was in a little bar that we stopped at for a late lunch one day. We played a couple racks, just to say we did. I think that the color selection for the cloth, and the contrasting color...

    Funny pic/gif thread...

TRUE! Something about that lower tone, droning kind of constantly monotone sound that doesn't spook wildlife. I've been out mowing with the garden tractor and had deer and coyotes seem completely oblivious. Brush hogging with the bigger tractor gets similar results, that constant rpm doesn't...

Venus also rotates clockwise, and all the other planets rotate counterclockwise. (looking top down) That means the sun rises in the west and sets in the east.
