yes,i see what you mean.i'm leaning more toward your thought. the shaft insert looks dead balls on and so does the rubber bumper on the early ones and the fact theres no ivory in the cue. great work on that cue,looks great!!!!!

mines a 2x4 and the pocket only holds the jump butt. call jim and i'm sure he could build one to your specs. he made my top handle taller so i could put my cues through it when my case is flat on the table. the man can do almost anything with leather.

i've bought cues and cases from roy over the past couple years and he treats me very well,i consider him a freind. i did talk to jim murnak him self on the design and he's also a very pleasant guy.cant go wrong with either one of them:)
