I've owned that cue. Really is a great playing cue and I had Alton make the JPs. As an FYI, Vollmer's 5/16-14 is a different thread design than the standard 5/16-14. Good luck with your sale.

You are correct. I thought the AZ'er was wanting to know if the tubes move within the case. Although there is very little if any cue/shaft movement within the tubes. Very similar to an older Justis or Whitten. I've had many cases with and without tubes and I have been happy either way...
