List of pro players who stick to wood as their playing shaft

    Pool Inventions of the Future

In order for a tip to be BCA legal it needs to be made of a fibrous material, Bulletproof Recoil tips are synthetic but are BCA legal, I think this will be the future of tips.

    Mental game poll

I feel those same problems, I have started a full shot instead of a pre shot routine, I am working on focusing on the shot all the way until my arm comes to a stop, I sometimes miss easy shots because in my mind the shot is easy and I don't follow my full shot routine,.

    deflection

I agree 💯, someone who is a 700 Fargo and has used the same cue for the last 20 years is probably not going to benefit from changing his cue to any kind of new cue, I think people should use what feels best to them, if someone is thinking of changing their cue it probably means they are not...

    deflection

I remember Iron Willie, I was playing Predator back then, nothing is greater than the creator of the creation, I don't discount it's usefulness but I don't put blind faith in it either, I like Dr Dave's testing of deflection more.

Bulletproof Recoil tips 7 month later

It's one of my favorite things about these tips, the compound they use is consistent through out the tip, my tip does not play any harder or softer than the day it was installed, I admittedly probably scuff my tip more than most people do, look at the pictures, 7 months with a minimum of an...

    deflection

That could be true, was the robot set up to perform that one specific shot? I don't know, I have worked in mechanical repair in multiple applications, I know in manufacturing there is always maintenance and repair on whatever machine is being used, and there is always a rejection rate.

    deflection

Every thing mechanically built with moving parts will have tolerances for bearings, races, ect. So even a robot will not perform a function EXACTLY the same way every time because they are built to work in acceptable range, heat, lubrication, and many other factors will have an effect on it's...

    deflection

Low deflection shafts in their name let you know that the shaft will cause deflection, it's the reason I value consistency in my equipment, when your cue, cue tip, cue shafts play the same it is easier for your brain to make the adjustments you need to make when you hit the cueball off center...

Bulletproof Recoil tips 7 month later

These tips are different, in my experience they play consistent, I don't have much wear on the tip but it plays as good as the day it was put on, I would just shape it to your liking, I don't think shaving it down will change the way it plays, any time I try a new tip I always give it 2 months...

Bulletproof Recoil tips 7 month later

I would not expect someone who has been using the same tip for over 50 years to change to any other tip, I guess the only way Bob MIGHT change to another tip is if every time he hit the cueball his cue would spit out a $100 bill.....MAYBE 😉

    deflection

You notice they are called LOW deflection shafts not NO deflection shafts, EVERY shaft that strikes the cue ball off center will cause some deflection, some more than others, physics sucks !!!!😁😁😁

TY, some people believe this product or that product will give you more power blah blah blah, I like CF, that doesn't mean I think wooden shafts are bad, they are just different, I saw an add touting a new shaft built for a Pro player that said "we went through 57 variations to get this shaft...

Bulletproof Recoil tips 7 month later

LePro and Triangle are both single layer hard tips, old school, there are many posts on this site talking about how to make sure you get a "good one" many pro players have used them.

Bulletproof Recoil tips 7 month later

That's why I eventually went to hard tips, I had a medium leather tip that was wasted in 4 months because it would not hold shape, by the time I was replacing it the tip was a hard tip anyway, I replaced it with a TAOM Fusion expecting it to be a medium tip but it was much harder right from the...

Bulletproof Recoil tips 7 month later

I'm glad you have something that works for you, I wouldn't change to another tip if I were you, I'm just letting people who are looking for a different tip and may want to try a Bulletproof Recoil tip but are reluctant because it's a synthetic tip to let them know my experience, I sent several...

Bulletproof Recoil tips 7 month later

To me the main difference from the Bulletproof Recoil tip and a leather tip is the consistency of the tips, they don't get harder and having the same tip on several shafts, is they play the same, I do enough inconsistent stuff on my own, I don't need any extra help from my equipment 😁

Couldn't agree more, if a leather tip works for you then you should use it, one size does not fit all, I am only relaying my experience, a lot of time the reviews you read are nothing more than a sales pitch, I love this sport and if I can help someone decide to try something that has worked so...

    deflection

All cues will induce deflection when the cue ball is struck off center, some more than others, physics sucks !!!!!!
