    Playing Under the Influence

Peronsally I don't find any mind altering chemicals an improvement to my game. If I can't win straight, I sure as hell ain't gonna win stoned. I play with a guy that plays pretty darn sporty, real good, but his game usually drops a ball or so after a couple of trips out to the parking lot. To...

Who is going to the Super Bowl in Miami, Florida 2/2/2020

It won't be me. I checked into the prices for the world series and it was insanity plus, and it was standing room, no seat!! I'm guessing the price for a nose bleed ticket at the very top of the stadium for the super bowl will be crazy expensive.

What is in your Case, full of junk you never use, or do you travel light?

Shaper, chalk, apron, glove, and extension. Guess you could say I travel light. Apron sounds kinda funny, but a lot of the old school guys used to play in very nice slacks and pants so they wore a small apron to keep the chalk from getting on their nice clothes. I rarely use it, as I play in...

    Mike Dechaine

I've met a lot of sleazy, folks in my 66 years that have nothing to do with the above jobs. A lot of them were "degreed" people with college educatiions, which included some MBA and PHD fellers. I judge people by their actions, not by what they do for a living.

    Mike Dechaine

I don't know what windows cost up north, but down south a person can make a good living selling them. Darn things are expensive as hell and pay a good commission. I personally like having money in my pocket, so there is absolutely nothing wrong with having a job, not a thing.

You ever take advice from a lower level player ?

Wouldn't bother me in the least if he is right. Of course pool players are notorious for not wanting any advice ever, even from someone far superior in ability. Their way is always the right way "for them".

    The English Open 2019

I don't think there is anymore. Seems about a year or so ago you could get here in the US, but haven't seen them carry it anymore. hahasports used to be one that carried a lot of snooker you could watch live here in the US, and there was another but I can't remember the name right now...

    Bar rules

Back when I used to play in bars a lot (30-40 years ago), if you played a safety, you better be packing iron. For sure there is going to be some trouble. :)

Besides APA, which other sanctioning bodies offer franchising?

I would suggest this is way off base. The reason pool is in the state that it is now is due to pool players, the kind that actually don't play in leagues. They aren't even willing to get organized in any fashion. It's one of the few sports that you can't bet on in Vegas. The fact you can't get a...

Pro Sports - Fouls Called on Yourself

If the shooter doesn't notice he has a ball on the table, well he has to have his head up where the sun don't shine. He is obviously not paying much attention to the game. Probably too busy on his phone texting and shit would be a good guess. If you can't pay attention for one game, that is your...

Skip Maloney's coverage of Brittany Bryant's winning of the WPBA Blue Emu open.

Watched em put a shot clock on the men years back in Vegas. I was glad they did, it sped up the game. Granted it wasn't the finals, Seems kinda odd to me for the finals.

    Your Favorite Players to Watch?

Efren, Tony Chohan, Alex, Denis O. These would be the top 4. Of course they play good one hole, which is what I prefer to watch.

Getting mad when playing against better players

If you don't play better players your path do becoming better will be much slower. It's good to have pressure on every shot, really good. You can also watch your opponent that is much better and learn some valuable moves and strategies. I hate playing folks that are at a much lower skill...

Siming Vs Shane: 7 sets race to 11

I enjoyed the heck out of these sets. I'm not much on rotation games, but this was good. Siming kind of reminds me of a snooker player in that her stroke and mechanics are extremely good. She can play that is for sure.

Orcollo goes to the Dark side

The main drawback of CF shaft, is the cost. Not many casual players are going to shell out 4-600 bucks for a shaft. In addition, a lot of people can't afford the luxury of a shaft for the cost. They are looking to spend much less for an entire cue. A friend of mine purchased a Revo here a while...

joined a APA TEAM, but it didn't work out for me

Sounds like to me you are with the wrong team. I've been doing this league for quite a while and team dyamic is very important. Find a team that you can have fun with, after all, that is what league is about, having fun. If you don't enjoy your team mates, you aren't gonna have much fun.

    Cataract Surgery

My experience was pretty much the same as yours, though I need readers to read, but see distance excellent. I was shocked at the difference about 2-3 days after the surgery. I could see excellent out of the eye that was worked on, and it was hazy and very yellow out of the still bad eye. Once...

Your in a slump: shoot through it or fast?

I haven't gotten where I am today by not playing. The more I play, the more consistent I get. Simple as that.

    Seniors world

I think Hendry is one of the best commentators they have. He gives excellent incite and is not into nonse/drama. Unfortunately since I'm in the US, there is limited access to snooker matches in Europe/UK other than watching them after they are played on youtube.

    Amazing snooker frame

I've watched most of the matches. I used to play a lot of snooker in my younger days as all pool halls had at least one table, some had multiple tables. A fun but very difficult game when on a 6 x 12. These guys are amazing really.
