I've seen many curly and BEM torrified/KW shafts snap. I wouldn't use them for a playing shaft, let alone a break shaft.

In 30 years of repairing Meucci cues, I have never seen one with 1/2-13 until I posted in this thread. One got shipped to me. How strange is that?!?

Buy raw material and build the correct size.

Was the cue modified at some point? That era of Meucci cues always used a 3/8-16 bolt to hold the buttcap. Later on, they switched to 5/8-18 then to 5/8-11.

I believe Hightower's is meant to as an add-on to his lathe, not a standalone fixture.
