I don't see the pin in the pictures. I'm guessing it's in the butt? or you probably would have mentioned it if they were in the shaft. It reminds me of a older Robinson cue from the mid 80's. but I believe his pins were in the shafts not the butt.

First I am not a cuemaker. Here is a picture of an 86ish meucci original with the 5/16-18(top)...A 1989 Sherm(middle)....And a 1988/89 Schon(bottom)...Id say its definitely not an 18 pin. When I compare the Sherm/Schon they are very similar and the Sherm shaft fits the Schon. My Sherm is...

Definitely looks similar but looks like wrong joint, wrong butt cap and wrong bumper. Can't tell the date on the cue but points are sharp so it would have to be old or custom. No name on butt??

I definitely prefer the linen wrap over leather but please update us when you get the cue back. Id love to see the difference after the refinish.

Just guessing, but it looks like all the veneers match perfect, joint/forearm/butt. I'd guess the same maker who built the forearm also finished the cue.
