Those points let you see the figure in the forearm. I like the traditional points but it hides alot of the figure, sometimes a waste of beautiful wood. Those give you both. I can imagine 6 of those on a cue,best of both.

Material looks good as does the rest of the cue. Did you do the splice?. Looks long and lean,I like it.
