Unaware of mismatched ball sets in upcoming tournament.

I like the second ball break because it doesn't often spread the balls wide. It tends to leave a technical Challenge that favors strategy (knowledge) and precision cueball control.

    Got some spark!

Like Yogi Berra said, "Half the game is 85 percent mental. 🤷‍♂️ My favorite memory of getting "In The Zone" had me making a huge comeback to catch my opponent on the hill. My mind was right and I just knew if I got to shoot I would win. My opponent snapped the 9. 🤷‍♂️ That gave me 4th in the...

Grady Mathews exhibition included a way to practice single rail kicks. He would place the cueball in the Jaws of the corner and kick it one rail into the side. Starting with a point near the opposite corner and then going up the rail and approaching the opposite side pocket. Kind like the limbo...

Unaware of mismatched ball sets in upcoming tournament.

That brings memories of the Good Ole Days and playing $5 tournaments every night of the week. One place had 2 different brands of tables with different pockets, rails and cloth and of course one small cueball and the other the oversize ball. 🤷‍♂️ Player awareness. 🤷‍♂️ another reason to get...

Unaware of mismatched ball sets in upcoming tournament.

I carry a set of clean and polished Dynasphere balls in the car on league nights. If the house balls are dirty or mismatched ww swap them out for the night. We always change out the cue ball and all teams carry a cueball we are not the only team that brings the whole set.

Longest you've seen someone hold a challenge table for $$

That's a start. 🤷‍♂️ I have never heard of that game. It does make me think of the unusual Saturday game. It was called Whacky 9 ball. Or colloquially Whack In Off. Playing the object ball to hit the cue ball and go in off. So yeah it was whack in off that Had the double entandra Whacking...

Double Hit or Not? You Make the Call.

I have explained that on more than one occasion. In competition I have requested a ref to watch the hit many times. In league play I request a member of the other team. Reminds me of Dirty Harry, "was that one click or two?" Wait with Dirty Harry the punch line was, "Do You fell lucky?"...

    Practice what I Preach

FIGMO is a flashback. It ends In Marching Orders. 🤷‍♂️ It's a fitness program. Uh oh more flashbacks. 😉 "And if you don't think I am tough....check it out." Was my reply to my playmate (at the age of 8) when he told me, "if you don't smoke you're not tough." A fitness program can improve...

    Practice what I Preach

Good morning Monday March 9. Already the Ides of March. 🤔 Maybe in like a lion. 🤷‍♂️ Ooops the ideas of March, yeah that's the ticket. 😉 I had to look up the ides of March.

I didn't think of it as missing on purpose. It was more about control of the battle field. It's colateral that they think I missed a shot when the cueball resting spot was my primary goal. Using leverage in a jiu-jitsu like manner can keep them thinking that "I just got lucky". 🤔 Oh yeah Efren...

Double Hit or Not? You Make the Call.

That's my position as well. I rely on the sound of the contact. If it's so slight that it doesn't make a audible click click it's a good hit in my book. 🤷‍♂️ double hits can be felt. And if I feel it I call it on myself.

    Careful Criticizing CSI Org

The pocket size discussion reminds me of McCorrie's on the Slough in Woodinville. The table mechanic sold them on the idea of larger pockets to get quarters faster. 🤷‍♂️ Their Friday night meat shoot always got a good turn out. They wanted to discourage "money" players. 🤷‍♂️ And vegetarians...

I got in a 1 and 2 dollar ring game making the 5th. I got a shot at the 2 ball and ran out. Everyone unscrewed. I said excuse me , I will step down and you guys can carry on. They did continue and I had 12 bucks for my daily beer allowance. 🤷‍♂️ My longest run of wins, not break and run but...

The led panels are a soft light. The first and last pictures are taken with the light on. I don't notice any glare when playing.

    Dynasphere Vanadium

It's been a while (years) since I bought them. They were so inexpensive at the time that I got 2 sets. The first was the odd colors and the second the traditional colors. Both play great. I think they might have been called bronze and gold sets. The off colors are for practice the gold set for...
