Longest you've seen someone hold a challenge table for $$

This reminds me ....😉 🤷‍♂️ Back in the 80s or maybe early 90s, pn a week night in Totem Lake, The ladies league used one of the 2 tables in the bar..There was always a bunch of no playing young men that wanted to impress the gals. So I would make them play for a couple dollars a game on the one...

    Table Light Recommendations

I got 2 of the 2x4 led light panels from homedepot. Made the frames and hangers from recycled materials on hand in my shop. It is a shop table. 🤷‍♂️ They panels were discounted due to damage in handling at the store. The damage was slight. Each panel was framed individually then a splice plate...

    What glove do you use?

12 pair for 6 bucks. These worked well for me a long time ago. 🤷‍♂️ Back when I was a working man I wore these when working in cold weather. They also served well when playing pool. Cotton string gloves. 🤷‍♂️ Edit: Just cut the tips of the fingers off for a better feel of the bridge hand on the...

    What glove do you use?

My first gloves were silk glove liners from the Army surplus store in Tacoma. Just snipped off the finger tips and they worked great. Now with my arthritic hands I wear compression gloves. $6 and change @ sold individually at Walmart. They provide the same smooth feel and relieve the...

Well that's Home Field advantage. 😉 My changing the rubber in the rails, while The King did advise me was not perfect. Not sure why but probably in the prep before gluing the rubber but two spots have uh come loose near the side pocket. Loose rubber can make a rebounding ball go astray. I...

    Relaxed vs raised shoulder?

I would video myself then compare my form with the player I would like to emulate. For me it would be Ronnie O'Sullivan or perhaps Stephen Hendry. The pre shot routine is like a dance and should flow. Again check out Ronnie and notice the whole process and the things that he does every shot...

Glen would probably be chucklin but it works. Yeah that's the ticket, it's a working table not a show table. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Kind a like uh folk art. 🤷‍♂️ It does look better from a distance. 😉 It does play Hella Good though.

Might.not be purty but it's functional as a practice table. 8 foot Fisher from the 60s. The table was free and the cloth free the rubber and pocket liners replaced and rails modified. While my skills as mechanic are no where near The King's, I have a good practice table, at a budget price.

What’s the diameter of your Butt?? 😏

I prefer a smaller grip on my pool cue. Thinking of it as a delicate instrument. A fat grip made it feel more like a club than an instrument. My break cue is thicker and would serve well as a club (in a bar fight). 🤷‍♂️

What’s the diameter of your Butt?? 😏

Uh oh 🤷‍♂️ Baseball bats come in different dimensions. A Roger Maris or Mickey Mantle had a very slender grip as it facilitates the quick flip of the wrists plus the weight was closer to the very end(like a golf club). For hitting the long ball. A Nelly Fox or Jackie Robinson had a very fat...

Why Your Skill Doesn’t Matter in Matches - Just in Practice

I was taught that the subconscious doesnt register the don't when you think Don't Miss. Miss is all that it hears. So miss I will. If I catch myself thinking of the don't when pre shot analysis is happening, I need to replace it with a positive thought. "Don't miis" needed to be replaced...

Why Your Skill Doesn’t Matter in Matches - Just in Practice

Well it is correct for Some People, not everyone. Some people carry that baggage. It's possible to overcome that sort of limiting attitude. Some can be satisfied with a 70% performance. It's much more rewarding when I can perform at 110%. Exceeding expectations starts with dropping expectations...

What’s the diameter of your Butt?? 😏

I plead guilty to contributing to the delinquency of a thread. A perfectly logic question that has been abused. 🤷‍♂️ So how does that song go? It Ain't the Meat, It's the Motion.

What’s the diameter of your Butt?? 😏

Well capacity is more important than diameter. As a carpenter a favored measure was "A Butt Load". A butt load of nails was a common request. 🤷‍♂️

Why Your Skill Doesn’t Matter in Matches - Just in Practice

. In competition the fact that a missed shot gets me time in my chair to think about what I have done. That thinking time needs to be practiced as well. I see less value in rapid fire repeate of drill shots. In practice I simulate competition by playing right hand vs left hand. When I miss I...

I have revived a couple of free tables and created a Frankenstein table from 3 different tables. Glen was very generous with his knowledge and that saved me time and trouble in my table rebuilds. So Thank You Glen, (er uh King Cobra 😉 ).

Less expensive Joss cues and quality?

Dufferin was my travel cue that I took when I flew. No way would I turn my Joss over to baggage at the airports. Dufferin was inexpensive and made of Canadian maple. It had a softer feel to the hit than my Joss yet was easy to adjust to.

Less expensive Joss cues and quality?

Pretty sure that was my first pro tournament that I attended. It was 84. The year before Efren came to the USA. The drive from Tacoma had us barely getting there before snow closed the highway. It was an incredible experience watching, admiring and learning. Dan Louie was our Great Northwest...
