Alright, this is for all you Gandy table lovers...LOL

Looks great Glen. Now that the table is first rate maybe he'll get some decent balls.

The Best Table I Ever Played On Is ....

Rich, Looks GREAT. I'm leaning towards the Tournament Blue when I recover next. I haven't experienced the problems you have with 860. The original 860 I used was the HR variety. It played great and wore well for about 8 years in my basement. In 2005 I replaced it with regular 860 and it...

how many different pieces in a cue?

I was only thinking in regards to making this cue stronger. Putting the female thread in the butt allows for a thicker wall than the shaft would have.

how many different pieces in a cue?

Your comment got me to thinking about reversing the joint. Do you think it would make any difference in the way the cue played if the shaft had the male thread and the butt the female?

how many different pieces in a cue?

Question again? Thanks Chuck. Not talking about this cue in particular or the idea that the walls being thin make you uncomfortable selling one. But if you were to make one to sell. What would be a reasonable price? Paul

how many different pieces in a cue?

It's kind of cool Very interesting cue you got there Chuck. Tell us more about it. How long is it? What does it weigh? What kind of wood is the butt? How does it play? Do you like it? If you made one to sell what would you charge? TIA.........Paul

    Measurement Question

I disagree Dave. IMO, it's easier to understand and visualize fractional inches ie. 1/16"=.0625" and 1/32"=.031". I've been in design and manufacturing for over 35 years and have used both decimal inch and metric. My mind still thinks in decimal inch. Paul Mon.....proud owner of a 1270mm x...

That used to be my name before it was shortened;)

    Back To Le Pro

I agree. The LePro or Triangle play every bit as good as a layered tip. In my case I'm comparing them to Talisman Medium. A friend gave me a LePro milkdud and I actually don't care for it. Not sure exactly what it is but I seem to miscue more and get less spin. I'm sticking with the...

    What would you ask ?

Aiming systems I would ask about their aiming system. When they confided that I would ask them how the system handles squirt?

I know I should have known better

Yes. You feel so dumb when it happens. Good time to remind yourself to look at least 3 balls ahead before every shot. I've got one that's even stranger. I'm playing 9 ball and my opponent breaks and scratches. I take ball in hand and place it down to shoot the one ball, which is tied up. I...

    There are Pool Angels

Great story and what a wonderful way to preserve the memory. I own a GCIII that came from a defunct pool hall in town. It was a table that I watched Pat Howey run over 200 balls on. Pat left us last weekend after a brave battle with cancer.

    Pool's Seven Deadly Sins

Not calling a foul on yourself I'm not a fan of the cue extender being used in 1 pocket or 14.1.

    Showman

Love the green with brown Very nice looking Tom. I'm guessing with those extremely short ferrules that it is lower deflection than your previous players. Good luck with it. Paul

    Predator Shafts

I felt the same as you when I tried one out, over 10 years ago. My adjustment period was almost zero. Back then the hype was more english and less squirt. I never saw the increased english but others swear that you get more. Then and now, plenty of top players and pros use LD shafts. Some...

    Pat Howey

??? Am I missing something here? Dave Grau plays "good" (as Pat Howey would have understated).

    How much different are they?

Try a search. This question comes up so often on all the forums. IMO, buy the Brunswick Centennials, you won't be disappointed. Now I wonder how they should be cleaned? What kind of wax should I use. If not wax, maybe some sort of polishing fluid? Do I need a automatic polisher? Hmm...can...

    Pat Howey

Sad news Very sad news Lyn. I've had the pleasure of knowing him as a pool player and on the charter boat. He was always fun to watch and listen to. He sure liked new cloth. I remember once at Palace right after Phil recovered a table in the side room Pat ran over 200 against Mike D. That...
