    Did Nick Varner gamble.

Nick has been one of my favorite players to see! His attitude of accepting what the table gives him, and just moving forward from there is worth emulating. td

    Any Dan Louie War Story?

Nice article Melinda. I'll have to check out the "Buzz" magazine more often... looks like some good stuff over there! Welcome back..... and don't be such a stranger.... a little more estrogen around here may help to keep the trolls under the bridge. td

    "the game changers"

I watched the film, really enjoyed it. If nothing else it opens ones mind to other possibilities and ways of sustaining ourselves. We all have our personal biases and/or paradigms on many issues, and I would just encourage people to watch the documentary/movie to open their paradigm a little...

    Post-Mosconi Press Conference

Thanks for the link.... Nice clip. I'm proud of our men.... well done! Emily as the face of matchroom, does a fantastic job IMO. A huge task putting this all together, and she (they) did it very well. I personally see her as a sweet lady, who tries to put a positive outlook to things...

    Pick a Favorite Photo

If I was going to blow up one of these to hang on the wall, I would probably go with the one splashing and the CB jumping..... but I would black out the background, maybe adjust the angle and lighting, and definitely peel the stickers off the table, and not use a racking template. JMO Td

    Pool / Billiard related artwork....

TAR photos I am not sure who has the rights, or if they are for sale, ...... but the black and white photos that the TAR studio had of Efren, Busty, Shane, etc were very tasteful, classy, and really cool IMO. I’d be glad to hang them in my pool room! Td

No, Most people do not want to play pool on big pockets.

If you are the Bob I have seen play, and played against in the past (at Greenway, and/or the Loft)... then you are one or almost one generation ahead of me. If you are still comfortable playing on 4 1/2 props to you! You played strong back then, and apparently still do..... gives me some...

    Bank pool... Systems or Rote?

I feel the same way as you, but the flip side of that is that there are people whose minds ‘dwell’ in the more scientific mode and that is how they come to visualize their shots. I have a friend who studied the Beard’s books, and practiced for years on them, that still ‘calculates’ every shot...

Then that's your market. Feed it.... Just do the folks a favor, that are less experienced than "players" and don't steer them toward something they probably won't be so happy with. I was glad for Glen's advice and I took it. I'm sure you do the same for your clients (I hope :) ) td

No, Most people do not want to play pool on big pockets.

Trent, I had my 9' Gandy 'sportsman' model set up by Glen a few years ago. I wanted it tighter as I was practicing a lot and hitting a lot of tournaments at that time. He recommended no tighter than 4 1/2 so I went with that, might be 4 5/8. It was good as I was playing all the time. Fast...
