    Well, Steve's recourse is against Rusty, for what good that is. Steve can attempt to recover the payment made for the cue. The farther downstream, the "un-fairer" it becomes. But it is basically every man buys crap at his peril. Sometimes the law provides a harsh remedy that isn't always fair.
