BU Tests. How many of you have taken the test? This might be the thing we need to converse.

If one has taken the tests, with his results posted in the BU Test area, everyone could look at the poster's quality of play at pool. I took the test 6 years ago but I did practice it before hand, did not have a jump cue so failed that part. I scored 111 which is about average. I'm ready to...

Why and How to Prevent ELBOW DROP During Your Stroke

Another video for high english. He has upper arm movement and shoulder drop.

    Pocket size

4.5" for side pockets? I had a custom rail maker make my rails with 4.5" for corners and the side pockets. The side pockets were too tight. Even a 750 Fargo thought so. So I had Glenn Hancock (King Cobra) widen them to 5". So much better.

Why and How to Prevent ELBOW DROP During Your Stroke

Your knowledge and ability are much higher than mine so I stand corrected. I have to have the upper arm and shoulder drop as the video shows. I wonder what game he was playing with the CB smaller than the OBs? Doesn't matter, I like the stroke. He HAS to have upper arm action in his stroke.

Why and How to Prevent ELBOW DROP During Your Stroke

I find the true pendulum stroke very difficult to hit high english. Only because the cue tip is going down as the hand is going up. The tip almost always hits the table after the OB is gone. Seems to me to get the straight through stroke, the upper arm must come down. The old practice stroke...

Why and How to Prevent ELBOW DROP During Your Stroke

If your shoulder drop lets the cue go straight, you'll have more power and there is nothing wrong with that. Some might miss hard shots and the probable reason is that the upper arm did not stay close to the body. Tuck your upper arm in for hard shots. Exercises for triceps muscles will help...

    Pocket size

I have to think most pool players would not like 4" or 4.25" corner pockets on a Diamond. The deep shelf in the pockets of Diamonds make rattles SO common. Super surprising for players that come from Brunswick tables. Just about impossible to pocket a ball that hits the rail first.

    Masters, triangle chalk becoming outdated

I have to laugh at these people that insist on striving to play better players.... to get better themselves. That's fine if you have a job and lots of cash to give the guy. Many of us when we were young, just married etc, did not have the cash. We had to play pool trying to win cash. And...

We have pro cut 9' Diamond tables with 4.5", side pocket must be larger, I think around 5". Everyone enjoys them.

How many Cues do you own today

The SW Franklin cues are nothing compared to the the Ned Morris cues. Sorry to write that, but it's true. Our teacher says the same thing. I'll get hell for writing that, but so what. I will sell them eventually.

    Jerry Franklin Southwest Cue

What you wrote is exactly correct. I just wish someone could design a test where a Fargo 700+ player could try cues of hidden different makers and choose the best hitting cue of the bunch. But, then I even wonder if the ten year waiting list cue maker came in last, if it would change anything...

    Taom Chalk

It's true!! I received the V-10 yesterday and this morning I applied it over the tip with a thin layer of Masters chalk residue. Taom is light green over the blue Masters. After 30 shots the tip is still solidly covered with light green. No miscues on draw shots. I love it. Zero residue on...
