I stand corrected. Nice looking cues, especially for the price.

    Pool advice in Esquire?

Esquire used to be such a great magazine. Now nothing more than another FHM-style rag.

    hilarious ebay

Cuebuddy, I'm honestly not trying to antagonize you, but I was under the impression that Worx cues (while very nice looking) were all decal cues. Anyone have any information on this?

Well... OK. But if you're really determined to piss us off, Jay, you'll have to publish another book.

    My promise to pool

Nathan: While you may call yourself "a little guy in the industry" (and there is nothing wrong with that), your efforts to date have been innovative and have helped you build a good reputation and solid relationships in the industry. Glad to hear that this is bearing fruit and has encouraged...

Where to grip the cue ?

This is great advice from Sean. It not only helps with finding the right grip position, but it also helps get the tension out of the hand and arm-- a key to developing a repeatable pendulum-like stroke.

    Urban Meyer quitting

That was total BS. They had no more information than what was contained in this post, and droned on for AN HOUR about it. Just repeated the same things over and over, and called in their "expert" analysts, each of whom said "we don't have enough information to reach any conclusions; we'll have...

    phillipino cues warping ?????

Good experience with Audrick and Joel Davidas I own several Joel Davidas (JD Cues) and Audrick cues and have not experienced warping. I believe that it all comes down to the quality of the wood used along with proper preparation and drying time.

    Kid Delicious

I spoke to Danny briefly at a Blaze 9-ball event at Sandcastle Billiards a couple of weeks ago. He said that he was away from tournament competition for nearly three years (he said he suffered a heart attack), and has only been playing seriously again for the last 10-12 weeks. He did indicate...

    What's wrong with Europe?

Roy, you can stay as you are and no one here will kill you. (And I'm sure that it "killed you" a little bit to write this, even in jest.) Good to see that you haven't lost your sense of humor...

    Gandy Pool tables any good?

It's all in the setup... I've played on Big G's in a couple of places, and also have one of their furniture tables in my home. I've been very happy with Gandys overall; I think that they are built very solidly. I think that the Big G's had a better reputation in years past. They haven't been...

    Opinion on new custom cues

@peace, you have nothing to apologize for. If you are new to the world of custom cues and are (were) unsure if you are being too critical, than posting these pictures and asking your questions here is a completely reasonable course of action. Now that you have heard a unanimous chorus of...

    A question

a really interesting thread... The answers so far have been thought provoking. Reading them, I'm reminded of some old psychology classes where I first heard of Maslow's needs hierarchy. For those unfamiliar, Abraham Maslow became renowned for his theory that people are motivated by a...

Nothing New In Men's Pro Pool For Years

Really??? Johnnyt, I always enjoy reading your posts, and find that I agree with you 90+% of the time. But I can't agree with you on this. Just off the top of my head, the last six years have seen... * A change in the main tournament game from 9-ball to 8-ball (IPT), and now the emergence...

    helmstetter 98-3

What he said. The 98-3 designation would indicate that the cue was from the 1998 catalog. Lenny's value estimate also seems reasonable to me.
