How do you compare two cues?

Alternate sessions. Sooner or later you will get into a zone with one of them ie. have a really good session. Odds are that one will be your new favorite and that one will be the one that you get used to playing with.

How long should my tips last?

99% of the time you miscue because you come out of the shot (even just a tiny amount), you come up a bit. Sort of like the golfer that looks up slightly before striking the ball and causes a miss hit. Of course we blame the chalk or the tip rather than ourselves. That's what pool players do...

    Tournament debaucle, what’s your opinion?

Like I said before: Welcome to the pool world. Sounds like the Tournment Director is worse at the job than I originally thought. Tournament was a travesty

    Tournament debaucle, what’s your opinion?

Welcome to the pool world but I'm sure you already knew that.

    Tournament debaucle, what’s your opinion?

Good point. Would love to hear from the guy that won the match and eliminated the other guy. Why did he forfeit. Just dumb shit. The other guy lost two. Tournament is over for him. Would love to hear from he guy in the hot seat about this debacle also. Wonder if the guy that already lost two...

    Tournament debaucle, what’s your opinion?

I didn't want to say that but I agree wholeheartedly. I think the Tournament Director either had skin in the game or has no clue.

    Tournament debaucle, what’s your opinion?

If he forfeited out after winning the match he actually took second place money since he only had one loss and then forfeited. His opponent for his last match had two losses. He won the match and left the building. The guy with two losses gets third. The Tournament Director should never direct...

    Tournament debaucle, what’s your opinion?

Just doesn't make any sense. Two losses and done. That is the perfect definition of a double elimination tournament. The Tournament Director is the problem. If there was nobody left on the one loss side then the tournament is over. Guy in the hot seat wins.

    Tournament debaucle, what’s your opinion?

Second loss in a double elimination tournament and you are done. Unscrew your stick and put it back in your case and go home. I am sure the the guy that lost his match from the one loss side knew that. Surprised he would even acquiesce to the Tournament Directors decision. The guy in the hot...

How to use this tip tool?

Run your finger over it. It's a file. Don't misunderstand me. It has it's place in my case but I use it for shaping a new tip generally. I have a last 4 ever tip tool and love it for that reason and I play hard pressed Triangles. My tips last me a good long time and they get harder with age and...

How to use this tip tool?

A Willard will do the same but not as abrasive. Whatever works for you. Some people on here think all you have to do is chalk your tip since chalk is an abrasive.

How to use this tip tool?

Last 4 ever tip tool is great but is very abrasive and rough. It's basically a file. Great for shaping but a little too rough for everyday use as far as I'm concerned. Takes your tip down way too fast. I still use the good old Willard tip tool for roughing and finishing once it's shaped to my...

    Masters, triangle chalk becoming outdated

I chalk after almost every shot as it is unconsciously part of my PSR so I could care less about the chalk that I use. There is no way in this word I would pay a premium for chalk. Then again I am a Triangle tip guy. The manufacturers of these products obviously have a vested interest in adding...

Hitting the "zone" related to cue just feeling right

No substitute for hitting a million balls.

How long should my tips last?

Of course it is abrasive......incredibly minimally. Have seat in a chair and chalk your new tip with master chalk and grind away as hard as you want. Don't get up until your tip is worn down. I'll do the same with a tip tool and grind away. How many years will you be sitting in that chair? I'll...

    How to Un-Pivot

Keep It Simple Stupid. Pot the ball. Shape means nothing if you don't pot the ball. Well, the chair will welcome you as a spectator.

    How to Un-Pivot

Of course throw happens. Take that into effect when you determine that point on the cue ball that is center pocket. It's a great gauge though when determining a starting point. Sometimes you have to cheat the pocket too. I get that. Lord help me, you have just sucked me into the Aiming Forum...

How long should my tips last?

Chalking has no consequential relationship to tip wear. I you do not believe that, then sit in a chair and really try to wear a tip down by chalking. You will be sitting there for a millennia. I mean seriously, think about it.

    How to Un-Pivot

No thanks. Make the ball that you are on and try to get shape on the next. If you want to dance at the table then have at it.

    How to Un-Pivot

But the Aiming Forum would formulate a hundred different ways to find the point on the object ball.
