    anniversary pocket liners

I bought a set of the rubber drop pockets from ozone billiards for my anniversary and cut the bottoms out of them and attached my original gully boots to them. It wasn't that hard and i'm not a table mechanic. I used heavy duty 3M velcro to put them together with. It turned out great and they...

Thanks for sharing the finished pictures of your table. It looks awesome and judging by the people you had working on it, I'm sure it even plays better then it looks. I always love seeing one of these classic tables come back to life. Nice Job Steve:thumbup:

Got ya...check back a few posts ago. I have some info about the pre-stain. The forum police had to approve it, so it didn't show up for a few days.

Steve D. It just sank in that you're using scrap pieces of poplar to test your staining. Try sanding off the backside of one of your short aprons and do your testing on the aged wood. You will get totally different results.

Steve D, It's your call on the prestain stuff... I found it wasn't needed. I'm sure if your using the original aprons they should take stain very easily. I'd say if you bought replacement poplar aprons, then it's probably a good idea to treat the fresh wood with prestain. I'm not an expert on...

Steve Dickey, If you use a 50/50 mix of minwax red mahogany(225) and sedona red(222) and use minwax clear semi- gloss it's almost dead nuts to the formica color. I'll post some pics of mine when the AZ forum police let me

    Anniversary Rebuild -

Steve, I stripped off my original aprons and restained them with a 50/50 mix of Minwax red mahogany 225 and sedona red 222. I spent half a day trying different combinations on the back side of my aprons. I put about 5 coats of minwax semi-gloss on it. I then painted the stripes on trying to use...

All of the parts look great and I can't wait to see some finished pictures of it together. I would like to know some contact info of the wood working shop you used if you think they would be interested in doing another table. I am also curious about your castings. Are they chromed or polished...

    Brunswick Anniversary

Anniversary pockets Thanks Steve, I was looking for something a little closer to factory with the the screw holes that go into the castings and a little less expensive, but it seems like there's not much out there for the anniversarys. I was thinking about buying some quality rubber drop...

    Brunswick Anniversary

Joe, Are those the original pockets/gully boots on your anniversary table or replacements. If so, where did you get them? They are as close to original as I have ever seen. I still have originals on my table but two of my pockets are starting to crack at the top center of the pocket. Any info...
