curious. what sort of drills have you been doing to practice shooting while not concentrating, or under pressure?

How common are break cues amongst avid amateur players in the US?

break cue mostly, to save my playing tip. for 9-10 ball anyway. 8 ball i use the second ball break, i wouldnt even attempt it with my phenolic tip break cue, always use playing cue for that.

Right eye dominate, but play left handed?

i started playin lefty almost from the beginning, read about doing it in Byrne's standard or advanced i think. just dabbled. i doubt i lined up any better that way than playin regular then. in Drawing On the Right Side of the Brain there are exercises where you do portraits upside down... got...

    Grip Nuances

    Grip Nuances

idk, but one thing i have figured out. if i try to micromanage this stuff when im down, i can spectacularly miscue no matter the venue playin around with it on a practice table, i see drastically different cueball reactions sometimes (especially with the deadball grip). tbh the part of my brain...

    Grip Nuances

in "banks that dont go, but do", Freddy Bentivegna touches on this follow strokes = grip emphasis on index/middle dead ball = middle fingers draw strokes = rear fingers or something along those lines. worth a watch. edit: lil clip of him talking about it on yt
