Low deflection back to solid maple? Have you?

Just like the title says. Have you played LD shafts and end up back with a solid maple? I sent in my ob and have been shooting with the solid maple in the mean time. I think I like it more. Anyone else? I'm struggling with this a little. Personal preference, I know, but I'm curious.

    Joss Sneaky Cue

Joss Sneaky Cue ***SOLD******SOLD******SOLD*** I bought this cue as a back up and just don't play it. I prefer to use my Pechauer. It's a Joss Sneaky with a Predator 314-2 30" shaft with a newly installed kamui clear-black soft. The tip has about 10 racks on it. It's as straight as can be...

    Cue Recommendations

My Pechauer was in the upper end of your price range and I really enjoy it. I also am a fan of Joss for that price.

    i am a newbee to 14.1 ...help

Good thread. I just started getting into 14 and 1 and I get very frustrated. If I miss a shot when I'm practicing I will re-rack all the balls. I'm ok at 8 and 9 ball but I get some kind of mental block when I can shoot at any ball and end up missing easy shots. My high run so far is only...

I call my Pechauer my "peach".

    Cue tip size help

My burning question now is, should I send the OB back to the manufacturer and have it turned down to 12.25mm (since I'm not the original owner, I don't have a warranty) or should I just suck it up and play it as it is? If it goes back, it's getting a new tip too.

    Cue tip size help

It was my friends caliper so I was sure to measure each 3x for a good avg. I guess after all is said and done, turned down or aggressively serviced it still plays nicely. I do like the feel of the skinnier shaft, but I think the OB plays nicer if that makes any sense. I guess my ideal would...

    Cue tip size help

So I have some results... I feel like the OB is within tolerance being slightly larger than 12.75 but the 314-2 seems like it way small. Is this normal? I like the feel of the smaller shaft more, should I opt for a ob2 and hope it's slightly oversized...?

    Chalk etiquette?

Ha sorry about getting you worked up with my topic. :D. I went to shoot today at a near by hall (and get a free polishing for my home balls) and the chalks that came with the green table I was on we're green and blue. I guess it doesn't matter there. I also won't leave a cube...

    Chalk etiquette?

I'm guilty of leaving my cube on the rail when I shoot. I don't use it to mark shots though. I also don't like anything on my person when I shoot. No phone, wallet, keys or change in my pockets. I have to take my watch off too if I'm wearing one.

    Chalk etiquette?

That's pretty much what I thought but I wanted to ask. I would not let someone chalk differently on my tan. I appreciate other people's property as I would want them to appreciate mine.

    Chalk etiquette?

My table has tan cloth so I use tan chalk. When I step out to a hall with different color cloth I usually use their chalk. I assume pool halls wouldn't like tan chalk on their blue, green or whatever color tables. Am I right about that or doesn't it really matter?

What is the first thing to go?

My right grip hand will get tight and start to cup in. Then when I notice that it's all I can think about and the rest is down hill from there.
