I can't imagine there is much difference other than personal preference. Like a few others here, I like the looks of the 3/8x10 modified more than radial. I'm sure I could not tell the difference though. I believe a standard 3/8x10 is "obsolete" when compared to it's "modified" or "flat...

90-95% of the time I play on my own table in my basement. I do sometimes wish I could get a travel "basement" league going though. Just to mix it up a little. I unfortunately don't know anyone in my area that has a table of their own.

It's all personal preference and subjective, but, I agree with you. I tried LD and much prefer my normal maple shafts. YMMV.
