    Counterfeit Cues by Rackattach

Thanks for clearing that up for me. I suppose I’ll reply to the thread since my name is now in it. I did in fact post the shaft in question for sale. I believe I asked Mr.McCormack three times that he was sure it was a SugarTree shaft. I was told it was from an older SugarTree Sneaky Pete...

what determines the cue ball speed?

Force = Mass x Acceleration. That being said, if you move the tip of the cue at 100 miles per hour but hardly touch the cue ball, all that energy wont be transferred and it won't move as fast as if you stroke through the cue ball.

    Pechauer Pro-H vs OB-122

I had a Pro H Pechauer and I wish I never sold it. I really liked it's wood joint compared to the normal Pechauer steel joint. I also prefer solid maple shafts to LD shafts, that being said, Pechauer LD shaft is an excellent option that I would put against an OB shaft any day of the week. I...

Cue builders who can make a four point cue for 1000

Check out Bob Dzuricky of DZ cues. He usually opens his books around Jan/Feb and is a heck of a builder. He's a great guy to talk to too.

    Choice between cues

I had a Pechauer Pro Sneaky that I wish I never got rid of. It played really well with the standard maple shaft at 12.75mm.

Switched back from LD; now what?

http://www.billiardwarehouse.com/cues/ob-1/OB-1-plus-shaft-10s.html The minor diameter of Eric's pin's are .311 instead of the usual .308. You could bore it out yourself or call the shaft manufacturer and have them bore it out. I had to do that with some joint protectors that I had made.

Switched back from LD; now what?

I did the same thing. Tried to get on the LD bandwagon, but fell back off. I play a 12.75mm maple shaft now. There is a little bit of a learning curve to get back to neutral. Just give it a little time.

Tim @ tables plus gc-4 diamondized king cobra style

    Custom cue makers comparison

The joint diameter I can't comment on because I'm not sure what mine is! Ha. My SugarTree shaft is an old growth and just plays really nice (in my opinion). The 3 Schmelke cues I have all had a little wobble in the shaft, but you didn't really notice unless you rolled them on the table. My...

    Custom cue makers comparison

I have 3 Schmelke cues in my cue rack. One is a break cue and two are house cues. The finish on them is ok but not as nice as the Pechauer cues I used to have or a Schon I had. I have a spare SugarTree shaft that fit's my one Schmelke butt and once in a while I put it on to play it and it's...

New Old Stock Retired Pechauer PR15

I had this exact cue and sold it. I wish I hadn't. Pechauer cues are VERY underrated in my opinion. GLWTS.

Super nice! That last pic in the sunlight really makes it pop! Love the pin/joint choice too. It's got to be an amazing player. Very nice.

Which size pool "just for fun" if room size is not an issue?

I voted for 8' because that is what I have in my basement. If I had more room I would have a 9' table for sure. 7' tables are ok, but I tend to feel a little cramped on them.
