Take a look at the Jacoby Black V4 shaft, the price is good and they have the Pechauer pin available. The joint collar is 21.5mm (.850 in). It's the HB2 but I also picked up the KW shaft, 11.75 and then the Black V4 Carbon 12.3 shaft recently. I really like the carbon fiber shaft with this cue.

This is great advice and 100% true. I've been learning 1 pocket just to really work on my safety game. If you don't have a high percentage shot/leave, might as well take that opportunity away from your opponent too.
