    Alternate break is ruining pool

30 second shot clock is perfect. it would speed up guys like klenti and archer to play at a more quicker pace.

i got talked into gambling tonight.

sounds like the damage already has been done. if a rematch that guy is going to want some weight after being drilled 7-4. turning that guy into a regular customer sounds like a lot of stress. the guy is a prikk, and at this point forward you would have to make an effort to get along with the...

    Alternate break is ruining pool

another way of looking at it. you're on the table at a bar say a Friday night. you just won. next person comes up, puts in the quarters, balls com out then racks. then that person asks, "so can I break?" what would your answer be?

    Alternate break is ruining pool

alternate breaks ruins the flow of watching a pool match imho. it was amazing to me to watch Efren, archer, and earl to run 4-6 packs and it would be done in 20 minutes or even way less. each rack being run was just mesmerizing to watch. matches where a guy like say earl is running a 5 6, 7, etc...

Clearing the mind before a match.

I will have to try a few of these approaches before I shoot the last ball to win. have to find a way to stop all this choking.

    Quitting pool

pool is an unshakeable addiction. pool is also an integral part of my life. without it there would be a huge void left to be filled by something else that i would have to find that may not be as enjoyable. i'm an admitted D+ player with infrequent flashes of a strong B. i probably should quit if...

    Pros mentoring other pros

are there pros that you know of that were taught by other pros? the only one I knew was that of johnny archer being taught by jay swanson also read that mike sigel would coach kim davenport and nick varner when they needed help on something.

Best US players on 9ft and Barbox

regarding bar tables-i would have to assume the cue ball plays an important part. especially the size of the cue ball. ball A: the cue ball that is slightly bigger than the object balls. this of course being that if the cue ball gets scratched it comes back down the chute. ball B: cue ball the...

Anybody gave up the pendulum stroke for good?

you are fishing aren't you as far as who I took instruction from aren't you? well to satisfy your curiosity I did not take lessons from nic barrow. I never even heard of that name. thanks for mentioning his name though-gives me something to look for while at work during break time. I did pay...

    Klenti Kaci - play faster

"]Hey man. You're the one saying a guy that took 5 minutes to run 8 balls on a wide open table doesn't play slow." heck even mike sigel would only take 2 minutes tops to run all of these balls out. and even he a lot of people would consider as someone who shot as slow as shitte. i don't...

My 180 on how I feel about magic rack 9 ball

first it was the jumping cues and now the magic rack. i don't own a jumper and i still like racking with those old wooden racks that look like they are just as old as some of the old timers at the room i play at. if the person i'm playing comes out with the jumper no big deal. i'll just make a...

    Klenti Kaci - play faster

but if I notice very slow play bothers you trust me... I’m going to sllllllooooowwsw it down lol well then don't be surprised if you are playing a set for some kind of cash that your opponent says all bets are off once that's spotted.

    Klenti Kaci - play faster

since it seems to appear that the majority of the people that replied that the kid shoots too slow, me included, then the solutions is plain simple. simply don't watch-watch someone else instead. if one has the urge to watch then there's always the fast forward button to speed it up.

    Klenti Kaci - play faster

[ We have accepted slow payers like Archer, Souquet or Ko Pin Yi, I see no reason why we can't accept Kaci's pace. Not everybody can play the game like Shaw or Filler. archer at the present time is real slow. he wasn't like that during the 90's. if he was slow it was to figure out how to get...

    Thumb Straight Down

I guess I am in the minority here. my thumb rather than straight down instead it's 45 degrees away from that point. helps me with the grip and sort of creates a slot for me to go straight regarding backhand and forward stroke.

Anybody gave up the pendulum stroke for good?

axejunkie-yes my moniker is after the great and underrated warren demartini. a better technician than page.however, page in regards to songwriting and crafting riffs that will always withstand the test of time warren d cannot come close. these 2 dudes are in my top 3 or 4 guitarists of all-time...

Anybody gave up the pendulum stroke for good?

that's cool. you are entitled to your opinion whether earl's technique is a pile of caca. just wondering why you think the way you do? "Never take another man's approach as a model." ahh depends on who the man is and what the sport or activity is. in baseball i would recommend not to imitate...
