Filler at The Derby 2/1/2026 Just won against Shane 9 B 9-0

Alternate 9 Ball racking positions through out each match; one ball on the spot for the first rack, then alternate to nine ball on the spot for the second rack, and so on. This would be more of a challenge for all the players and make the game less routine and more interesting.

Mosconi Cup 2025, Dec. 3-6, Alexandra Palace, London

If crowd noise is such an issue, then perhaps maybe the players should be allowed to wear noise cancellation devices or sound blocking devices to reduce the problem.

Archer vs. Sigel 1993 Accu Stats

He started to manufacture and sell his own line of cues and sell pool tables and accessories as well. I attended his grand opening at his store in Winter Garden, FL; Sigel and Mizerack shot some pool for the attendees.

    Old (defunct) NYC pool hall?

I never saw Richie Ambrose shoot pool; no youtube videos that I am aware of. He came strolling into the Corner Pocket pool room in Orlando, FL in the mid 1980s looking for some action, but no action that day. The owner knew him and they just talked for a while.

    Old (defunct) NYC pool hall?

When I first visited McGirrs in the early 1970s, the place was kind of empty, but there were 3 guys there just standing around, and each one wore a trench coat and a fedora hat, and each one had a toothpick dangling from their mouth. I felt a bit uncomfortable.

Vietnam Vets Shooting Pool in Vietnam During The War

I took my R & R in Honolulu in 1970 and met up with my Jersey girlfriend. I didn't shoot any pool while I was there, just relaxed and did some touristy stuff like go to a Hawaiian Luau, view Diamond Head, go to Waikiki Beach, and go to the mall and look at those colorful Koi fish along the...

Vietnam Vets Shooting Pool in Vietnam During The War

I was just wondering if there are any Vietnam Vets here that had an opportunity to shoot some pool while stationed in Vietnam during the war. I was fortunate to be stationed in Long Binh Post in 1970 - 1971, a relatively safe area, that had a social activities building that had 4 pool tables and...

    Old (defunct) NYC pool hall?

In the early 70s, in Manhattan, I once played in a below street level pool room named "McGirrs" and then I played in a 2nd or 3rd story pool room named "Guys and Dolls" and then I headed over to the "Golden Q" in Queens.

    Mosconi Cup 2024, Nov. 30-Dec. 3, Orlando

Thats what's nice about living in Florida, there are so many housing communities that have fully equipped pocket billiard rooms as an amenity. The only time I go to a commercial pool room is when I want to compete in a tournament.

    Mosconi Cup 2024, Nov. 30-Dec. 3, Orlando

Excellent breakdown, observations, and opinion. I strongly agree with your comment about Scott Frost. I think it would be interesting and challenging to have alternate 9 ball racking positions, that is, 9 ball on the spot one rack, then the one ball on the spot the next rack and so on.

    Mosconi Cup 2024, Nov. 30-Dec. 3, Orlando

Not according to Mr. Google's AI Overview: In the Mosconi Cup, a player is eligible to play on Team Europe if they are from a European country, and on Team USA if they are from the United States; essentially, a player's nationality determines which team they can play on. Key points about...

    Mosconi Cup 2024, Nov. 30-Dec. 3, Orlando

With regards to flipping the little finger, the gesture is still suggestive and is inappropriate and unprofessional and does not make the USA team look good in front of thousands of viewers from all over the world.

    Best and worst commentator??

Scott Frost and Josh Roberts are my favorite commentators for One Pocket. I don't like Nick Varner as a commentator because he begins every sentence with "and uh"; it's kind of annoying after awhile. However, I do like his indepth knowledge of the game. I like Ken Schuman as a commentator. He...

    Turning Stone Classic XXXVII Underway

I watched it for a while on youtube and noticed the rather unusual single globe pool light over each table. Does anybody know anything about that type of light? It appears to be illuminating the table surface quite well.

I thought the commentator for the 1966 Crane vs Balsis straight pool match was amusing, but certainly not the best.

OMEGATV WILL HAVE OUR OWN ROOM AT THE DERBY CITY CLASSIC-HIGH STAKES ONE ON ONE TOURNAMENTS-EARLY BIRD PASS AVAILABLE NOW-WWW.OMEGABILLIARDS.COM

I keep getting an "Unknown Error Has Occurred" when watching the reloops. There is no audio of the players interaction or crowd watchers reaction in attendance. So far, I'm not happy with this PPV service, maybe it will improve over the next 4 or 5 days.
