    Wrap sealing

You can definitely seal and clear a linen wrap. Obviously it helps that the wrap is nice and clean and very tight. The looser the wrap, they more issues you potentially will have down the line. Another alternative if you want that wrapless feel is stacked leather, that can be sanded incredibly...

Best 7’ table other than Diamond!

The Rasson tables are pretty good for the money. The Acurra is reasonably priced, looks nice and plays well. I have sold those to several pool halls.

Why are most CF shafts black?

It's a powder coated surface finish.

    Can any wood be repurposed?

Yes you can repurpose hardwoods. I have shaft blanks made from old bowling alley floors, but if shafts is what you want to make, that's gonna have too meet some quite specific criteria. Could you use it for other wood projects that's not that critical in terms of grain etc. yeah, that would...

G 10 pin on break cue?

I have seen those bend. They are softer than you might think. G10 is generally much stronger.

G 10 pin on break cue?

They are much stronger than you might think. The alu ones on the other hand, stay away from those.

    When to core?

You can do that at fairly close to final size. If you're using a lighter wood as a core or a carbon fibre tube, just be mindful of hydraulic preassure. You want a tight fit, but you want the wood or CF dowel/tube to easily slide down the hole you bored.

    When to core?

Coring how? Do you want to drill out the front like Predator or do you plan on having some sort of core running through the whole shaft?

    Changing Predator Silencer Pad

Very little margin for error on those. Go to a professional is my advice.

Making a sneaky pete from a blank

Your milage may vary I guess, I have seen qute a few chipped sneakies, but your'e right, it's not the end of the world and if it happens it's certainly possible to fit a joint collar and do a refinish. My mind just always goes to durability, so If I can make something stronger, I prefer to do...

Making a sneaky pete from a blank

The level of expertise needed is no different than the cuemakers own work, so I would look at their other work first.. It's a quality blank, so you want someone with skills to match that work. As a side note I highly recommend you go with a joint collar from whatever material that suits the...

OK this is ask the cuemaker ... so ...

What you are seeing are unrealistic expectations.. Sure it goes in waves, but I have customers that have their favourite tip or brand and I have new customers coming by all the time wanting to try out something new. I try to give as accurate description of the tip/brand in question and we go...

    cuetec avid shaft insert material

Don't even consider that option. Just bore and plug the shaft. With a threaded plug and a quality epoxy like West 105/206 with 203 silica powder will create a strong bond. Then you can thread it to suit whatever pin your cue has.

    cuetec avid shaft insert material

Why would you need to remove it? The shaft collar/plug is one piece.

    Jacoby extension bumper?

These extension sets are made by one company and they aren't super cheap. I'm guessing the type you are wanting is this one: Jacoby extension The bumper part comes in several different variations 3/8-16, 1/2-13 etc. The bumper should be less than $50, what did Jacoby quote you?

    Source for cf shaft blanks

Several vendors, but they all probably originate from only a few factories in China. Having said that, the technology itself isn't as advanced as you might think and I'm sure there are companies in other parts of the world that can build CF tubes. The biggest cost is having the mandrel made, but...

    What happened to ringtail wraps?

You can still get ringtail wraps, but you really have to trust your supplier, so many of the wraps was junk. Many of the wraps offered just wasn't made for wrap use, they where thick, super stiff and just poorly tanned and treated. It felt like 600 grit sandpaper in your hand after an hour or so.
