Thank you that makes it more clear. I read through the rules yesterday and I think I'm grasping it pretty well. I wish there was someone around me that was more seasoned in this game. It would make learning it much easier I think.

If I have ball in hand behind the headstring, and there is a ball in the kitchen, can I shoot that ball or can I only shoot balls beyond the headstring?

So if you foul (non scratch), and the ball is played where it lays, couldn't the incoming shooter be left a considerable disadvantage? Let's say I just slow roll the ball into the unbroken rack with no intention of breaking it up and leave the cue ball frozen to the rack. That's -1 for me, but...

So whaat is the strategy if you run down to the last ball but dont have a good break shot? Do you just make the ball and then play safe? Also, if you foul (not a scratch) is it ball in hand behind the headstring or anywhere on the table? Thanks

I own a 9' GC but every time I play on a Diamond i wish I had one. Don't get me wrong I love my GC but I really want a Pro-Am.

I ended my 9 ball losing streak by beating a really good player that I have never beat before, in our first round playoff match. He wasn't playing his best and I handled him well to get us a first match 16-4. I'm hoping this boosts my confidence as it has been pretty suspect lately.

Mezz quality is just way better in my opinion.

I know for a fact that what my APA league pays out for a "free trip" to Vegas isn't anywhere close to what it would actually cost to go. I personally don't play because of the prospect of a trip to Vegas. If I want to go to Sin City I'll just go.

Even if it was 10:30 it would beat what my team averages in APA. I usually don't get home until after midnight when i play during the week. I'm not trying to bag on APA, I enjoy my time there but I would like to give BCA a chance.

My biggest gripe with APA is how late it runs and the way they keep score in 9 ball. I think getting rewarded for making a ball in 9 ball defeats the purpose of the game. If most BCA matches are really over by 9:30, I'm going to start looking for one to play in immediately. Getting home at...
