    Arcos II or Tournament Black

This is absolutely true "on paper", but in real world play, if they were all colored and marked exactly the same, I honestly do not believe I could tell the difference between Super Aramith Pro, Centennial, Tournament, or Arcos II. On a HOME table, I do not believe any of these top tier sets...

    Pool Ball Collecting.

Always the champion for the poor or budget collector (I am both 😀) From a closed pool room who had a case of these unopened, I managed to beg and snag this last new set of Centennials for $230! I love the hunt as much as the hobby!

    eBay seller warning

I don't know the rules or limits but Ebay offers buyer protection and you can also do a charge back on your credit card. I would contact Ebay customer service first and very quickly. Hope it works out ok for you

    Arcos II or Tournament Black

I own and play a set of Arcos II's, Tournament Black, Centennials, Elephant Beautiful (Swirl). I already had the swirl, centennial, and Arcos set. I wanted a set of Tournament and decided to go with the Black set because I already had several traditional sets. I actually really like them...

    Aramith Blue Circle Cue Ball

I love the Centennials as well. I would also suspect that playing with such a level of consistency may actually help your game as well. It was my first set. I played them for 18 years on my home table and they still looked almost perfect. I sold them recently for about $25 less than I paid...

    Aramith Blue Circle Cue Ball

I own about a dozen or so different sets of balls, but I see you have 3 sets of Centennials. What led you to purchase multiple sets of the exact same type versus all different for variety? Just curious.

    BLUFLYE a scam site?

Has anyone here ever purchased any billiard balls or equipment from bluflye.com? I know some people who have bought shoes or clothes from there and been pleased, but the prices seem crazy low. A Chinese made ball cleaning machine is listed as new for about $75.00. Is this just a foreign made...

Gray Cloth at the Mosconi Cup

Thank you Garczar. I looked for it on the MR site but couldn't find it. There isn't a search function on the site. How did you find that link?

Gray Cloth at the Mosconi Cup

Where did you find a picture / description of the Mosconi Cup balls for this year?

So what difference is there between balls? Aramith vs others

Fair point. "Better" is very subjective. A better description may be "more consistently". I own 17 or so sets. I have 3 sets less than 5 years old. Arcos II, Aramith Black, and Super Pro. These 3 play the most consistently. I can not really tell any difference from set to set. My newer...

So what difference is there between balls? Aramith vs others

There is TRULY a difference between top quality balls, such as are manufactured by Aramith, and all others. Another SIGNIFICANT difference lies between Aramith balls of many years ago, and today. The tolerances and formulations have improved quite a bit over the years. Modern, top line...

    Cue Ball Compatibility

I like the measles ball. The only cue ball I have personally played that I just do not like is the 90's Era Blue Circle Centennial. I have the red measles ball by Aramith, the black one from the Tournament Black set, and the Black Triangle one from the Arcos II set. I can not tell any...

Racked balls not tight after cleaning

Having actually tried this on an old set with some wear and slight size difference I found this to be the case. I was using a template by Accu Rack that moves the balls together. If you have not tried that particular product you may be pleasantly surprised. so... Not WRONG and Not NOT TRUE...

Racked balls not tight after cleaning

I have found the use of a template instead of a rack gives a very tight rack very consistently regardless of thes other factors

    Grey felt?

Rule #1 is make sure it is a brand name, quality cloth. Next, gray will give good contrast for most all ball sets. If YOU enjoy it and it looks good with your decor / space, please enjoy. Don't worry about what we all think. My table is about the color of a confederate soldier's uniform. I...

Price check on McDermott wildlife wc-6 / are they even more rare in 2021?

These are currently available but are laser etched rather than inlay. Still very beautiful though.

    Pool Balls

This, also after years of use and hundreds of runs through a cleaner, the finish is also different. The brand new balls are more "slick"

    Table height

While this sounds over simplified, I am a martial arts instructor and I teach stance and foot position for optimal balance as a vocation. You can weaken your ability to balance and to punch (use a cue stick) by adjusting your stance from front to back. The reason is that this creates...
