Like a lot of folks, I met Tom Rossman in Vegas many years ago, when he was doing his exhibitions. Found out about 15 years later that he was from Minonk Illinois and a school friend of my fraternity brother Paul Kettwich. Very small world.

Elkmaster Milk dud tips, real or just hype???

no its a process....take a standard Elkmaster, measure for thickness, soak in whole milk for a day, it will swell, then press back to original thickness, let it sit compressed for a day, then install. the milk acts as glue and cements the tip together preventing mushrooming and other deformations.

Carbon fiber for the slickest feel, what grit?

for pool and shotgun enthusiasts.......back in my skeet shooting days, I shot at a gun club that had a "character", who when things weren't going well with his Remington 1100, would open the bolt, scoop up a handful of dirt/sand/gravel, throw it in the breech, vigorously rack the bolt back and...

    any downside to this??

    any downside to this??

Got an aftermarket shaft that is correct thread for existing butt, but is a bit wobbly screwing on. Anybody tried a bit of white teflon plumbing tape to tighten up the fit?? I don't have any tape handy to try, so I wondered if anyone had done it before me. TIA.

This is 25-30 years ago. You are shooting pool; guy comes up to you and offers a cue for sale. It's about a $200-225 new price cue, in decent shape, rolls straight on the table and rail, both together and apart. He wants $75. Do you buy it, or take a pass? I bought it but caught...
