    Underappreciated Cue Makers Section

Of the several threads I have seen you post in, you do always seem make an effort to be helpful and/or informative. Thank you from less than 1 year old forum member. You are noticed and I appreciate your efforts to get some lesser known craftsmen and players connected.

New: a projection pool system with built-in vision

I have a lot to learn and that’s OK with me. All kinds of different people on here (AZB) and on tables for different reasons. All games require the use of at least a cue, some games require having more balls than others.

In honor of my first follower on AZB

Nothing happened actually. I think a member was just taking initiative and I gave my thoughts on it.

In honor of my first follower on AZB

Sounds pretty clear to me. I have no made no claim of an issue with any of those stated rules. To my knowledge, I haven’t violated anything other than not having established myself as a seller of items made by someone else 😉

As long as you aren’t using your voice to scam, you are OK with me! Well that or shit on another person w/ 0 evidence they have ill intentions and then say oh by the way, I just happen to have what you need!

In honor of my first follower on AZB

Good evening. I wanted to share an experience that I had in honor of my first follower on AZB. I recently picked up (somewhat of an impulse buy) a Jacoby cue and since it was an in stock item, it came with a Jacoby v4 12.3mm carbon fiber shaft. Pretty standard stuff. I noticed someone on the...

    Bluegrass Hustlers

Kenney, baby, if it ain’t hand to hand (and even then) it could be a scam. Like you, I am just doing my part to spread awareness. If you would like, we can always have a one on one conversation about it.

Tip Decisions... AZB Help me pick a couple to try Please. (and Thank you!)

For all the appreciators of what goes into cue building (looking at you attention to detail). Correct me if I am wrong, but the consistency required in your tool from shot to shot is a critical factor as well. Why not require a consistency in hardness when it comes to the tip on your shaft?

Tip Decisions... AZB Help me pick a couple to try Please. (and Thank you!)

I am aware that it can be done, but not having performed the test myself, how long does it take to get a solid reading? If it was only 10 seconds per tip (for example) and you had a regular who knew the hardness level that they preferred in a tip they bought from you, I would think as long as...

    Bluegrass Hustlers

Make sure you use video or a video call to ensure the seller actually has the item. That and PayPal good and services as the payment option. You can never be too careful when dealing with a stranger. I didn’t learn that here, but it is good to remind any forum member 👍

    Joss cue value,please?

Some of us had a laugh, but what are you looking for in a cue? If price is your first consideration, check out a Viking cue. If you want a little more design, you could get a used Joss. Just a couple of ideas to start with since laughter alone won’t get you closer to a decent cue to play with.

Tip Decisions... AZB Help me pick a couple to try Please. (and Thank you!)

Do you know which hardness level you prefer? Many of these tips are marketed as S/M/H, but another question might be which tips are consistent? I believe this requires a durometer to even get close to accurate on hardness testing. I would bet a bunch of people have a good experience with one...

New: a projection pool system with built-in vision

I hate to say it, but seeing the bullseye game provides a glimpse into how a system like this could be used. Training sessions could be loaded and certain shots could be practiced and tracked for precision. Shot streaks could be counted. I haven’t searched this here, but what is the opinion of...

I just like that JossII is registered. That makes it official!

Why Your Skill Doesn’t Matter in Matches - Just in Practice

I understand what you are saying and I am going to guess you are over 55 by your use of schoolyard. I get it, but basketball and pool are so very different. Basketball requires a whole different level of physical fitness and 2, 3, 4 other players. I would argue pool takes the edge in mental...

Why Your Skill Doesn’t Matter in Matches - Just in Practice

I 100% agree with you. Unfortunately, the guys that have all day to read all of these posts and reply aren’t on the road slaying pool rooms for cash. As a matter of fact, I would imagine most leagues have a rule about showing up on time for a match, because people have lives outside of pool...

Beware of new users who have "just what you are looking for"

To clarify one point. Obviously, sales of one or two items by members (wouldn’t make sense that they provide a DBA/company name). That is where the brokers or city specific ambassadors would fill in at. To keep it honest they wouldn’t get a cut (gasp, clutches pearls). It would be volunteer only...

Beware of new users who have "just what you are looking for"

I read through here and I am not sure what has or hasn’t been tried, but I wanted to share a couple of thoughts. First, as long as something has value, someone is trying to figure out how to get it for as little as possible or even free. One of the unique, but not exclusive things pool has as a...

    New Here? - Introduce Yourself

Welcome. From my relatively short time on here , there are many stories that have been shared. Get the balls back in the rack and shoot. Plenty of room for pool playing and story telling here 😉
