It looks weird and funny and at times stupid. But as long as it is a special TV event promoted by a bookmaker company, they order the looks to their taste. Walls, players jerseys, etc. A triangle is a mere advertising tool here, nothing else.
As for wood, I heard one or two pros betting their damned lives that would be Cuetec R360.
That noted, none of them both plays with that shaft now. Both switched for carbon, and primapily for sponsorship reasons. So just another sign that low deflection is not everything for a player. Had it...
Dunno is Amazon offers those cleaning machines at the same price as AliBaba/AliExpress, but they are pretty much the same. Check them out, there is a chance the price asked plus shipping from China is still lower than locally ;)
One of the matches involved a shoot-out in order to break the tie!
Turned out Ruslan is struggling with some serious health issues, namely pinched nerve in the spine. Apparently it influences his overall stamina and condition, as at times he even can be seen limping pretty severely. Still...

'Champion's pool' got to be the name of this invitational event for 8 players.
Ruslan Chinakhov and Konstantin Stepanov must be more familiar to international audience. But other six are a good match to them.

Rest in Peace, one of the greatest cue artists! Buddy's video on Clock System once was an eye-opener for me, really helped to improve on that cb paths understanding. True legend. Thanks for everything, for all great emotions and things to remember.
Defining who are best at dissecting the rack is pretty easy really, once one addresses the matter properly :) Those are players I'd call "natural thinkers", i.e. their playing style is as such, and rarely changes. Omit great shotmakers, life-saving shots, etc. - just recall which players behave...
why should it be different? The steps are known well beforehand: a) serve 6 months off b) pay $500 to local national federation c) welcome back, start from scratch.
