Any event which will not use that Black ball set. There gonna be plenty, like Buffalo's One Pocket and so on. Not necessarily Heyball, though this might be proper also. After all, Wu Chia Chin and Dennis Orcullo are there now
There is no reason to doubt. You are precisely spot on about generic terms. World championship in official sport (which pool is not, but that is completely other story now) can not be 'owned' by any private person or business. In a world of sanity, a world championship can be held only by...
Well, I suggest you try the same, only this time imagine there is no official bodies for pool and billiard games everywhere, and pool (well, nineball, as there is no other pool game existing for Matchroom) is only provided by Matchroom. Hopefully you are well informed on how things are run in...
Filler's absence has an impact of course but not decisive IMO. There are many factors, like playing in Asia (humidity, temperature, food come in contention), they are under Boyes, Kaci must be not fully fit yet, etc, etc.
Actually, only 20 years later ;)

(The WPA is delighted to extend its partnership with Matchroom and to have its flagship event back with them). ROFL :ROFLMAO:
As long as pool players have struggled financially for a long time, they of course want the dough. And they would follow everyone who promises them so. Do you recall Kevin Trudeau? That IPT was a beautiful story, but with unhappy ending enfortunately.
That's what Appleton was ranting about...
Jay, they are pool players. Special breed, they never learn it seems. I remember your story from the book about one of those great opportunities.
I've seen many talks about players' union and such. This, if ever happens, is going to be a single big foot and a very big gun. Guess what happens...
I see it vice versa. That's the players who don't care about their WPA official status, ranking points. global events, world championships. These are the players who don't want WPA. Instead thay want Barry's $$$.
Correct, but 3pt rule has been the way 9-ball is broken for god knows how many years already, so kind of official to use. They don't enforce it in standardized rules because the rules are supposed to mention all the options (old "one on the spot" included), and the event producers decide on...
Pretty plausible scenario. I on my own would be happy leaving "nineball" thing to MR and seeing 9-ball back. Played with 3-point rule or under a speedgun, as opposed to "I assume you are not doing it strong enough and please make a better try next time so that I am satisfied", etc.
This might be the way MR saw it also, and that is a big mistake. First, running a World Championship does not entitle that party to rule any kind of rankings. Next, MR's ranking system (as they have been implying everywhere like snooker and darts) sucks, let's put it straight. Had it been a mix...
Watching Reyes Cup on Sky Sports, one of the commercials during the break is Christopher Ward watch brand. The ad ends with "Still never heard of us? - Do your research" :)
A little spoiler for your studies: this is the official governing body for pool and some adjacent games over the globe.
Jen, note that this payment is due not to WPA directly but to the national federation (which is under regional WPA member, like EPBF, ACBS, BCA). And everyone was informed about the outcome, so no hard feelings for those pros perhaps.
Or - like many times before, the pool players showed some...
Now I foresee a cunning move by current WPA partners (Pred Group), making all of their events, guess what, take your time... ... ... non-WPA-sanctioned!!! :D Welcome back everyone.
Actually it is MR to blame. They got offended their ranking for 9-ball was rejected by WPA as 'the one and only"...
Gonna screnshot or d'load the current WPA ranking list, just to compare the changes coming up. If the banned players are really to lose all their points.
Let them do that at a boxing ring. Barry built his media empire on that, so must be pretty prolific. And Sandman has been a pro hockey player. "Let's get ready to RRRRRRRrumbleee!"
