    Ultimate Pool - Florida Open

I am of the opinion that UPUSA made a mistake by going to the straight up 30 minute match instead of races to 6 or 7 in a 30 minute time limited match. Getting rid of the golden break was also a mistake, both added an element of uncertainty and excitement to the format. Good luck this weekend!!!!

    Identify this GC model???

Its amazing how quick aluminum oxidizes. I weld aluminum sometimes, immediately before welding I have to scotch brite previously cleaned aluminum and the filler wire if I want the best possible welds.

    My first Gold Crown refurbish

I had to repaint my friends Mercury Bravo stern drives after a body shop did a not so good job. I used PPG automotive base/clear coat. It was only the second time I was using my HVLP gun and I am by no stretch of the imagination a painter/body guy. The base coat went on real nice but the clear...

    Identify this GC model???

I always say "I don't know what I don't know". The above definitely falls into that category, thanks for the info, now I have some some more stuff to learn up on.

    Identify this GC model???

The first time I polished shiny aluminum wheels with Mothers polish I was dumbfounded over where all the black stuff was coming from. Aluminum is weird stuff that way.

    Identify this GC model???

We have a lot of anodized (hard coated) parts on our racecars, the hard coat wears off everywhere there is friction. My kids raced karts when they were younger, the rear sprockets are hard coated because without it a sprocket could wear beyond use in just weeks. Anodizing extends the life of...

    1970 9 ball rules

I gander that you would measure the center (base) of the ball the same way you measure the edge, lay a cue across the diamonds.

    ''Kicking Out''.... Your Forward Foot

How refreshing, an Asian match on a pool table instead of a Chinese 8 ball table.

    My first Gold Crown refurbish

What was the guy thinking who performed this "spectacular" work???? There are so many runs in the black it looks like he painted by submerging the wood in paint. And if that is in fact paint why did he think he needed to sand the old paint off when all he needed to do was lightly sand it? There...

    Fedor’s “new” chalk…

When you say "oval" do you mean the standard round Toam shape or are they making more than one shape??

    ''Kicking Out''.... Your Forward Foot

I step forward with my forward foot into the shot, it gets my head and cue in the correct spot, my rear foot goes somewhere behind my front foot so I am comfortable.

    Identify this GC model???

I wonder if they were clear coated when new and it doesn't do that until the clear coat wears off. My GCI is a very delicately played home table that basically has no wear, it seems like my corner castings might be clear coated.

4-6 point cues with colored veneers and linen wraps are my favorite

The Richard Black story is funny. I'm guessing he knows exactly where all of the non perfect areas (I hesitate to call them flaws) are on the cues he builds but most normal people will probably never notice. Its the same with the racecar chassis' I build, I know every area that I don't consider...
