Fargo (game) - been doing it wrong

Had an ‘aha’ moment after all these years of Fargo solo practice. All this time when switching to rotation phase I just picked any ball that looked like a favorable sequence and started the run. This would ultimately leave balls on the table once the highest # was pocketed. Didn’t realize it...

    Wrong Ball

Every individual in the U.S. Open apparently has no trouble shooting the correct sequence except for this single player in a single occurrence. Must be the balls.

    Why 9 ball?

I’ve come to my personal conclusion that it’s not 9-Ball that’s the problem, it’s the old tired, worn out double elimination formats and/or races to 11, 13, or more. Whatever this format is called is a welcome change. A ‘Showdown’? Of course this is 10 Ball but would work with 9 too

How long should my tips last?

Just reached three years with the same Kamui medium. Always stays in shape, needs only an occasional scuffing, use Taom chalk. I hit over a couple hundred balls a week.

    7 ball

I’ve seen a pink/black version on TV from decades ago. Unsure if it was available to purchase. You can buy this black and white example from Billiards.com.

    Break & Runouts in One-Pocket & Bank-Pool

Enjoying the update. I am finding the new time based workouts useful. Would it be possible in a future update to implement a pause feature and perhaps show a clock countdown with time remaining in the session?

    Break & Runouts in One-Pocket & Bank-Pool

@phil228 I saw the app is now called ‘Billiard Manager’ Before committing to a $30 subscription, can you provide more information how the new workout format functions for One Pocket? Same with playing the ghost in 8/9/10 ball? I believe that’s a new feature as well. I’d like to remove the...

Unless there’s another manufacturer, it looks like Kamui Black clear. I’ve got one.

WHAT BALLS WOULD YOU BUY ?

Aramith, Dynasphere they’re all great. If going for style, what color is the cloth. Traditional green or camel, traditional ball color scheme. Tournament blue and taupe favor the modern colors, TV sets, etc But a Gold Crown with green cloth will want Centennials.

    6 Ball as a whole

Find a 9 ball rack and turn it sideways.

What does pumping the cue over and over up in the air before their shot do for the pros?

This reminds me, I’ve been meaning to air pump three cues before every break shot.

    Equal Offense II

Can’t believe it’s been over a year since the last update. Over the past year I also used Bowlliards, Fargo, and to some extent the RDS to track progress and improvement, but I find Equal Offense allows me to finely track progress incrementally and I also find it more fun and less demoralizing...

Team america north vs south video

Time to revive this thread as I came across this match today. Time keeps marching on, now it’s been 30 years since it aired. It’s time to get the best U.S. regional players to come together and compete again. Maybe east vs west.

    The bangers are getting better

According to the Mike Shamos Encyclopedia of Billiards: BANGER (colloquially) 1. An unskilled player, one who does little more than ‘bang’ the balls around. 2. A player who hits the balls hard, without care for position.’ My interpretation is a player who plays slop or wishes to luck...
