    Cue Chalking Crutch

Now that I think about it, I’m a wrong handed chalker too. I’m right handed, hold the chalk in my right hand. Seems to be common chalking method used by Snooker and English Billiards players.

    Using bowlliards to track progress?

For those that take BiH in kitchen, do you have any particular break strategy. I break with medium-hard power and hope the back two corner balls rebound out of the kitchen and stop mid table.

    Using bowlliards to track progress?

Risk/reward I have been trying to log my progress here and there, and seems I’m about a 70 average, which makes me a low C player probably. Regarding not taking BiH on the second ‘throw’: It forces me to think twice about taking a low percentage shot and leaving nothing vs shooting safe into...

Would you rather... (table specs question)

Personally, if I were to assume a large percentage of shots required a short cue I would downsize the table. Otherwise using a short cue here and there is tolerable. From the looks of the diagram it’s just a few poles, right? If it was a solid wall then I would consider a smaller table...

What is your Favorite Tip flavor at the moment

Kamui Black Clear medium. Still using the same tip for over two years. Other than an occasional scuff and burnish it’s virtually maintenance free and doesn’t seem to wear much. Over time it’s become slightly harder, but I like the way it hits even more.

    Pool as it should be

Played on this 7 foot Valley last night. Nothing to love about cloth speed here. Not even a D player should be subjected to this. And don’t let the lighting fool you, it wasn’t nearly this bright.

Best Moves for a Hustler To Use

Question is; what kind of person are you trying to hustle and for how much. Eight of these are pitiful amateur attempts at sharking or making anyone with any skills, sense, and/or money to avoid you like the plague. Add talk incessantly and interrupt your opponent while they are shooting...

    Taom Chalk

My Pyro is down to just above the paper and it’s exhibiting the same occasional soft dust specs/flakes as well. Generally the Pyro was never as clean as the V10 has proven, but it was still the cleanest chalk I ever used by a considerable margin. Kamui Roku is also clean but nothing like...

A Purple Five Ball Makes No Sense to Me

And here’s how the new balls cloth look clearer on my screen at least. The better lighting helps too..

    Pool Ball Collecting.

I don’t recall my Tungsten set coming with a template but I need to check. The Platinum set definitely came with pyramid and 9 ball templates along with the polishing cloth. Maybe someone at customs was inspecting each box for something else!

    Pool Ball Collecting.

My Tungstens are still included in my rotation of sets. I like the retro look. Mine came from e-Bay unadulterated. But what’s up with these Dynaspheres with broken seals on the boxes? My wife got me a set of Platinum for my birthday and they were sold ‘new’ to her with the seal broken too...

    Taom Chalk

Tried my new V10 today, it’s cleaner and has longer staying power than the Pyro if that was even possible. Amazing stuff. Another note about Taom chalks; I cannot find any evidence of etch/scuff marks on the CB like other chalks.

    Taom Chalk

I ordered the V10. Green color on green cloth should be good, though the blue Pyro is a non-issue. I should be set on chalk purchases for several years at least. Meanwhile I wonder why green chalk on blue cloth is a concern when for decades blue chalk/green cloth was the norm.

    Dr. Dave Chalk shootout😃

I always preferred Master since I was a teenager. Then I read about high-end expensive chalks, thought they were ludicrous. Then after watching and reading reviews I took the plunge and bought a Pyro. Now I won’t use anything else. The same piece should last me years. Master is fine if...

    Boyes on the 'drag' shot..................

Being one of these APA 3 / 250 Fargo type players that feel like they’ve won the Powerball after a runout, the biggest take I got from this video was to simply get on the correct side of pocket line for the 4 ball. Because I’ll tell you the most common outcome of this scenario for someone like...

How to make perfect rack outline on cloth?

Yes, though I used it briefly for English billiards to spot the red. Probably won’t bother to mark it again when the table gets recovered someday.

How to make perfect rack outline on cloth?

I used a black G2 0.7 point pen to draw my long string and 14.1 outline. Prior to this I marked the center spot using a fine point Sharpie for Cowboy, but found the Sharpie wasn’t that sharp and bled into the cloth a little. The G2 pen worked out better when I marked the Billiard spot. It...
