Question about a spray booth ...

Maybe some of this will help. http://mvpcues.com/cuebuilds/Booth.php There are two bearings for each center, centers are made from matching diameter bearing rod. Pulleys are made from delrin and press it on. Delrin stops and set screws to fix the drive side and created adjustable spring...

    Calling Joss Experts ???

Thanks for your post. I checked the weight bolt of my George. It isn't an exact match, but it is slotted and has some radial grooves on the face. I have been leaning toward the cue being an It's George. Yours having a longer joint screw strengthens that thought. I emailed Bill pics and a...

    Calling Joss Experts ???

A normal 5/16" pin (your Joss, Showman, etc) would not screw into or get real tight and seize if it was screwed into an undersized insert for sure. I didn't consider this, I meant I had never heard of a problem occurring for properly sized equipment during normal use. I did not check the...

    Calling Joss Experts ???

Thanks for your posts. Nobody mentioned the shaft collar being a little larger. I did not notice it myself. That is worth noting, but nothing else about the shaft hinted at it not being either original to the cue or at least original to the same maker and period. I have not heard of a...

Thanks for your post. Yes, I agree on the similarities, but not quite identical. The insert on the far left is closest.

    Calling Joss Experts ???

Yes, you sent me a couple inserts and screws years ago when I first started working and wanted to make some my own joint protectors for my cue. The butt sleeve length of my it's george matches. It's george did make a lot of cues without rings above/below the wrap. But, my joint pin is the...

    Calling Joss Experts ???

Holy cow. I own an It's George, was my first cue, I knew they used the undersized pin like Schon, and I never even considered It's George. The only thing is It's George butts were always larger than 1.25", as far as I know. Mine definitely is.

    Calling Joss Experts ???

A cue came to me for a butt cap repair and a new linen wrap. It was in a case with a Mcdermott D16, which is listed to be from 1984 to 1990. This cue in question certainly has some age to it, but it's unknown whether it dates as far back as the Mcdermott. The finish on the cue is in quite...

    Best ferrule

Hi Octy81. The "best" ferrule is subjective. That being said, Tomahawk ferrule material fits your criteria very well. If you would like to learn more about the material, here is my web page on it. http://mvpcues.com/tomahawk.php The web page has one of the original AZ threads on the...
