I have been saying this for some time. Politics and religion have no reason to be discussed on a pool/billiards forum This is his own words regarding the subject contained in post #2 of this thread. Why would discussions on this forum be any different than dialogue in pool halls? There is...

I was on the site for a long time before I ever wondered into NPR. I participate in the main forum especially if there is a big one pocket match. I don't as a general rule discuss politics in the main forum. I have only opened a handful of the sub-forums since I joined the site. Just for...

That was what Candace Owens said. It was not anybody in NPR and you know it.

There are like 50 subforums on AZ. You don't have to open NPR if you don't like it. Often times I've seen that the folks that accuse others of racism are the biggest racists themselves. You sound like somebody that wants things his or her way. If something does not comport with your ideas...

    Joe Rogan- Pool benefactor?

Not a bad idea. The problem with LA, is there are no more large upscale poolrooms to hold such an event in. They used to have charity events loaded with celebs back in the day, at the Hollywood Athletic Club and Hollywood Billiards. Sadly these rooms have been both closed for a long time.

Seems like you've spent a lot of time in NPR for someone that thinks it's " toxic ". If you can't stand it, don't open it up.

There is plenty of rancor in the main forum without the discussion of politics. I try to stay away from politics on the main forum. We all know that you can get more aggressive behind a keyboard than most of us will ever be in real life.

Filler and TRex. Tue -Wed at Roys

On super tight equipment there will be sell outs more frequently. After moving for inning after inning one might be left with only the option of a really hard shot. If you miss that shot you sell out. Most players even good ones can't make every hard shot into really tight pockets.

I've watched date night where the couple drink beer and it looks like they are playing three cushion because balls rarely find a pocket.

Everything changes with large pockets, like taking balls out of your opponents pocket. All over Southern California Ernesto has worked his super tight magic. I've seen all kinds of 8 and out on those sub 4 inch pockets. In the East they play more straight pool. One Pocket has become very...

The player I was referencing was not a Pinoy. DO is one of the best shot makers in the world but when he first showed up in Santa Monica he had little knowledge of One Pocket. I don't think Dennis would have been able to beat T. Cho when he first started playing One Pocket. The Pinoys are the...

I've seen pro players that have come to Santa Monica House of Billiards and played on those super tight tables without really practicing on them and lose. I am talking about guys that have won major one pocket pro tournaments. When they open the doors after 8 pm that room gets crowded, it gets...

Straight pool players hate to play on really tight tables. Rotation players have more confidence and will run more racks on 4.5 pockets. On super tight tables you don't see the six-packs put together. With super tight pockets it turns into safety battles. When you have a shooter like...

They are under 4 inches. It's Ernesto that makes all the pockets super tight.

In a room where there are a lot of One Pocket players you can bet that that the pockets are under 4 inches. Santa Monica House of Billiards comes to mind. If you are not a regular, you can't play on the first four tables by the rail. Nine ball is rarely seen. I thought Killer Filler may...

I don't know what would preclude you from being a fan. Are you waiting for a pool messiah? Folks that don't really play one pocket had their socks knocked off watching Filler and T. Cho play. For most recreational players one pocket is tedious with the balls all up table being nicked around...
