Regarding touching a ball in motion, I think it should be deemed a foul since I can see someone using this to their advantage by intentionally touching a ball inadvertently heading for their opponent's pocket. Or helping a ball into one's pocket with a nudge. Granted those are blatant examples...

That's a good point too. I don't recall from the trip any opponent ever returning a shot unless a ball was made other than the called shot or an obvious shot or of course for a push. I would be curious to see what the rules in Vegas were regarding this.

Good point! I just came back from the 10-ball tournament in Vegas where they would call the pocket if there was a remote chance that they might "slop" in the 10 ball even if it was 2 foot away. It was an interesting exercise of seeing what shot they envisioned might happen. So in this case if...

I was wondering to what details you would carry the freezing. Would you be particular about balls directly behind the 1 ball touching each other ? I think that without the magic rack, it would be difficult to get them touching especially on old cloth.

RIP Cecil. Never saw him play other handed, but I did remember him setting up with the cue all bridged up in the air before setting on the table. It was as if he never quite got used to playing opposite handed even though he played competitively. :cool:
