There was a news-bit about the Coney Island hot-dog eating contest this AM. Something about a 6-time winner crashing the event due to them blocking him. He didn't sign a exclusive clause contract for an eating contest league. They actually have prize money for these things!

Agreed. It seems they bought the tournament to have it in their backyard and conveniently forgot to invite the rest of the world. In this case, money bought the sports. :(
