Forkbit tool for antique Brunswick rails.

I have been using one like this for a year or so, I like it much better than the older style. I bought 2, still using the first one. http://www.harborfreight.com/hand-tools/wrenches/adjustable-pin-wrench-36554.html

Which profile side cushions do I have?

What is the measurement on the top of the cushion? Measure from the base of it where it glues to the rail to the tip of the cushion where the ball bounces off.

Cheap table in garage (my first!)

I think when your level arrives you will see why it isn't level. I install about a dozen of these a year and they are a nightmare at best to level. Slatron is another word for particle board, thats what it looks like to me anyway.

I see this at least once a month. What I do is create a fulcrum under the seam with a hammer handle or something similar on both ends of the seam and then apply pressure to one piece and have someone hold down the other or screw one end down and hope that they break apart. P.S. Be careful and...

AE Schmidt 8' Pool Table - Value?

I would ask for $2000 obo, it will sell for somewhere between 1-2 k . If someone is shopping for a new table they are aware most name brand tables start at 3 k new, they see your like new table for a better price then a new one and they buy yours and save a little cash.

T-rail bolt system conversion per Mr. Long

Sounds like a good idea to me, it may or may not work with most antique tables because the slate sits almost flush with the frame/ body or edge of the table with no overhang to install the bolts from the bottom up.

How bad are the Metro tables ?

I have installed about a dozen of these in the past few years with no callbacks and don't recall any issues at all . The only change I've seen with them is the way the pocket castings attach.

How do you feel about Craftmaster tables?

To me it sounds like the dealers that the tables were bought from gave these customers the runaround , not Brunswick. Sadly not everyone who buys a pool table franchise can provide acceptable customer service.
