    Buyer / Seller transaction report

Ross/1P Roscoe Nice easy transaction with Ross. I would not hesitate to hook up with him again. Its a solid cue with a pleasant unique hit (although the wrap is definitely "girly man" stuff). Thanks! Keith

Is it the cue or the tip?

Another Guy Who Knows Of What He Speaks "If the tip isn't junk or too soft or too hard for your liking, it's the cue as a whole" Joey would certainly know. This is a very interesting subject since the terms "hit" "feel" "crisp" etc are so subjective. FWIW-I've taken a McDermott laminated...

Is it the cue or the tip?

"Sublime" "Sublime" Leave it to Matcase to use a word like that to describe a cue hit:) The only sublime I can think of in a pool room is the limes under the ones on top that they put in my Margarita. Matcase is a friend of mine and he knows of what speaks!!;)

Is it the cue or the tip?

It Simply Has To Be The Shaft/Ferrule/Tip Combo!! Tip contacts cueball, contact feel resonates or travels thru tip, thru ferrule, thru shaft, thru joint, thru forearm, thru handle into the "feel receptor" otherwise known as "the hand". It would seem, and I could certainly be way off, that...

FS: Pred, Rick Howard, Mike Bender, Jacoby, Lanz Q & Huebler

I Love Howards & I Just Can't Help It Will Rogers never met a man he didn't like (Will obviously never spent any time in a pool room!) and I've never hit a Howard that wasn't a winner!! How do you feel about that Ping G5 and the Cleveland Hibore in trade for the Bender:) ! It was a...

    Considering buying a Schon LTD

Right On To Mr. Coyote and VIP Professor Schons may not have the sizzle but dollar for dollar they're tough to beat. If you pick up a basic "not brand new" model from an AZBer or even Ebay, you stand a good chance of getting your $$$ and more.

Places to see action in Las Vegas

Was In Las Vegas Week Before Last The Cue Club is loaded with One Pocket players. Walk in with a cue case, get a table or even sit and watch and you''ll get approached. The older italian guy referred to elsewhere in this thread as "Gabe" (not sure about the name though) was looking for a...

Which Plain jane to buy - Bender, SW, Bluegrass, Zylr, Sugartree

You can't go wrong with either a Bender or a SW. Both should hold their value and, obviously, the SW's should continue to appreciate. I would be very surprised if Benders ever lost value. However, I believe the Bluegrass guy isn't making cues or took a leave of absence or something like...

Rick Howard 6 pointer for sale

Nice Hitter! I've hit a few balls with this cue and it has the classic Rick Howard hit. Its a stiff hitter not unlike a SW or an Omen but still plays smooth.

    Sacrificial Shaft

Mr. Eick Since I'm not a cuemaker and was just dinking around I didn't feel compelled to make my post longer than it already was. However, I DID check the balance point before and after and it moved forward just over 1/2". And, since I use lead tape when building and swingweighting golf...

    Sacrificial Shaft

I have a cue that I like everything about except the shaft is really, really light. Since I love to tinker and have more money than sense plus a lot of time on my hands, I determined that if took a small drill bit and drilled into the center of the shaft, not touching the threads of course, and...

    The mental game

No Thoughts Allowed!! The greatest golfers in the world practice mechanics on the driving range and play golf on the course. They stand behind the ball, see the shot they want to hit, go into their set up, take a couple of looks at the target and let er fly. They do not think .."okay, left...

    Straight shafts

Hey Yo Little Jackie Madden! I know you don't remember it but I bought a low end Palmer at Modern Billiards in Phoenix and thought it was the greatest straightest shooting pool cue that could be had. I checked the straightness before I bought it and took it home. About six months later I...

    What makes a good case?

"Matcase" Would Know "MATCASE" is a very good poolplayer and a very good "casemaker" as well. He made the cases in his avatar and, having seen them in person, I can say that they are well made and real eyecatchers. He knows of what he speaks!
