Do you guys get the jitters or nervous playing in tournaments? I can't seem to shake them and play like crap. Lately I've been playing good enough and when I get in a tournament I suck. How do you cope if you cope and how do you do it? I know it's not easy.
I used to break (9-ball) pretty decent when I was younger but now it's hit/miss and just try and park the CB and make a wingball. I get the 1 over a corner pocket and the 2 on the opposite corner. If I don't make a ball off the break I'm usually in trouble
Amazon is usually good with returns. I ordered the Crical awhile back and it was very well packaged. I was worried it might be dinged, damaged etc but no issue. I changed the tip which was a little hard for my liking and the cue hits the ball pretty good.
I rack the 1 on the spot (9-ball) and 2 at the back. I break from the right side of the original box and the 1 comes up table to the left corner and the 2 to the right corner. I usually make a wing ball almost every break and if the CB doesn't scratch or get kicked I've got a shot on the 1 ball.
It's a good day for us old guys when we wake up on top of the grass and not worm food. I play with a bunch of old guys and they're no slouches. The oldest regular guy is 92 and one guy last week is 97. One of the old guys (82) plays with a guy he calls the old guy that's 99. I mostly play with...
There is no comparison btwn the game of snooker and pool. Snooker was brought to mainstream TV years ago and the pool stigma is still a stigma to the general populace. Snooker had major sponsors, players had huge endorsements and marketable. Pool needs more than being streamed by pool junkies and...
I ordered 10 Elkmasters from Amazon for the rack cues at home and out of necessity I put one on my Chinese playing cue. I haven't seen the local cue guy in a while and still waiting for a shaft to be made. My playing cue needs a new ferrule/tip and a new butt cap. I'm surprised how well the...
Ive got a dust collector ( slotcar box) sitting in my garage. Those were fun times and I was the king on a King setting multiple track records in 16D, balanced 16D, grp 12 wing, GTP 12. We had some pretty serious guys racing Grp 27 and Eurosport
There are 3 places within 45-55 minutes from me to play pool. All are 4.5x9"s ,one has a 6x12 (has to be booked) and the place I go to has two 7 footers that rarely get used. I might check out the place that has the snooker table and see if I can hit a ball 12ft away. I have a 9ft at home but...
I had a guy that was on his phone the entire match. It was alt break and he miscued and missed the rack. I grab the CB and he's on the phone about 20ft away so I roll up to the back of the rack. My buddies were laughing and the guy comes back, looks at the rack and figured I was going for the 3...
I played with a turtle for a bit to get used to slow play as it aggravated me the bob up/down then adjust his glasses everytime. The last time we ever played a friend said smash them open (6-red snooker) so I did and it was the quickest 5 games and $100 I ever made.
I'd say it's safe to say that the majority dislike the same things. My biggest pissoff is losing in a match that I played like crap in and beating myself and the opponent walking around like a proud peacock and I so badly want to say go fk yourself.
A friend asked me how I stay in stroke and I replied I walk alot. He looks at me like HUH and I said when I walk I keep my arm from the elbow up firm and elbow down swinging and pretending I'm hitting a ball at various speeds. I got up from the chair and walked to the wall, stopped and bent over...
