    107 Breaks & 6 Chances

If the horrible spreads and horrible luck and horrible forces of pool evil continue to plague me after I get the new Diamond Professional table then I will probably agree. In the meantime, I am about to head back down to the Gold Crown IV and break some more racks of 9B. I went down earlier...

    107 Breaks & 6 Chances

https://pad.chalkysticks.com/dd94a.png After the Colts game today I went down to do my laundry. After getting the laundry started I went to the table and practiced some shots with those Pocket Reducers. Then I decided to break some racks of 9-Ball. I broke 22 times and had one - 1 - decent...

    Brian Roberts - Louisville

Speaking of really good pool players that aren't professionals........ Anybody remember a guy from around Louisville years ago by the name of Brian Roberts? A buddy of mine that is now deceased told me he was the best shooter in Louisville and was right up there with Nick Varner in terms of...

    Over age 50 Mosconi Cup?

Let's see now. Nick Varner is 77. Earl Strickland is 64. Johnny Archer is 57. Jim Rempe is 78. Kim Davenport is 70. Mike Sigel is 72. I am 66. We might be able to field quite a team. Who else did I leave out?

    Happy Thanksgiving

Well, since it's Thanksgiving I guess there's nobody working down at the Diamond factory. And since most people are off tomorrow (Friday) it's doubtful they are working on my new Diamond Professional table then either. So I guess I will have to wait until Monday to give them a call and find...

    Practice Drills

I believe I read recently that years ago Buddy Hall was in a pool hall in Shreveport and practiced one shot for hours and hours. All day long. If it's good enough for Buddy it's good enough for anyone. r/DCP

    A.E Schmidt tables

At the prices they have listed not sure why anyone would want an A.E. Schmidt table when for about the same price you could have a new Diamond. Am I missing something here? I remember years ago I had a table that was called a E.A. Burgin table. A guy from Murfreesboro, TN named Skip Burgin...

    Good Things and Good People

I used to teach school. At the school where I taught if a teacher did something like this there would be an uproar by the parents, superintendent, principal, etc, etc and the teacher would probably have gotten fired. r/DCP

    Shooting Over/Across A Template

It does seem to me that sometimes if the CB/OB goes over/across the template that at times some sliding can occur. I've missed some shots because of this. Taking it off the table off the break does seem to be the best way to go.

    107 Breaks & 6 Chances

I went back down to the table tonight. Broke 14 racks and only had one halfway possible runout. The type that prime Efren might have been able to get out. Finally I said the heck with it, this will be my last break tonight. I am simply tired of this voodoo, hex, pool spirits, etc, being...

    Shooting Over/Across A Template

Has anybody had any experience in shooting over/across a template? From what I have seen in tournaments if a template is used it is automatically removed from the table after the break. But does anybody ever just leave the template on the table and shoot over/across it when playing? Even if...

    107 Breaks & 6 Chances

No, truck is not totaled. The front end is pretty banged up. With three holidays - Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years - this might take a while to get it fixed. It's my understanding my insurance, the other guys insurance, and the estimator from the place that will repair it all have to come...

    107 Breaks & 6 Chances

FYI here, After the Colts lost at Kansas City today I went downstairs to do the laundry. Before I started the laundry I polished and cleaned the balls using Aramith Ball Cleaner. After I got the laundry started I went to the table. I was looking forward to playing some racks with nice clean...
