I like that style. Old fashioned I guess.
Plus, as I've said before, since this could be a temporary thing I don't want to spend a ton of $$$.
I think I might have found the light...
I'm looking for a pool table light for the new Diamond Professional. The table will be a 9-footer so the light needs to be at least a four fixture light. The one I have on my Gold Crown IV is about 5 1/2 feet long. It works just fine. Most of the ones I see anymore are only about 4 feet...
Their website says League Cut.
Either way, as I've said many times, the Gold Crown IV and it's 4.5 corners and 4.75 side pockets are very tight. So if I want to practice on a tight table I can go down to my basement. If I want a slightly more forgiving pocket I can walk 50 feet to my upstairs...
Since my Gold Crown IV plays tough and has 4.5 corner and 4.75 sides I decided to go with the slightly larger pockets on the Diamond. It will have 4.75 corners and 5.25 sides.
4-6 months. Will be a long wait. Maybe I will luck out and have an early delivery.
I don't believe so. This one is direct from the Diamond factory. Aaron Berger is the guy I am dealing with. Although I have emailed with Heath Manning.
With all options factored in, including sales tax, delivery, set up, etc, etc.......$11,323.45.
This is the style that I have coming.
If you click on this link and scroll all the way down you can see the various leg styles.

Just got off the phone with the Diamond factory down near Louisville. Ordered the new Diamond Professional today. Oak/Cherry. Leg style #2. Diamond routed into all four rails in black. Standard Simonis Green 860.

Are we sure that's a Diamond Professional? The pockets sound like they are made of rubber or some hard material. I thought the Professional only had the leather for it's drop pockets?
Oak Cherry.
3-piece slate since it's going upstairs.
4 3/4" corner pockets. My Gold Crown plays somewhat tight so I want this one slightly easier.
Yes, black Diamond engraved logos on all four rails.
Simonis 860.
Standard Simonis Green.
Leg Style #2 with polished aluminum.
Oak round...
It was Buddy that made what I consider a famous comment regarding the stroke. He said this down in French Lick, IN during the Mizerak Senior US Open in November of 1999.
"People make too big of a deal about the stroke. Just put that cue under your shoulder and move it straight back and forth...
Ahhhhh!
Makes sense now.
As I've said before......the best playing table I ever played on was a Diamond Professional owned by former WPBA touring pro Diana Minor. Was up at her house in Columbus, IN a couple of times for lessons.
