no sir, it's just the angle of photo, i took it on the side then turned it vertical both shafts are 29 inch.

there is a weight bolt, with threads to screw in a small screw that attaches the rubber bumper into the butt. I have unscrewed the rubber bumper but never unscrewed the weight bolt, it is quite tight.
