i second that as i thought the worker bees at the place were great, not to mention the locals were friendly - no complaining of being up early on the weekend and super nice in general. this was a great stop and i for one hope to see another event there in the future.

if you have a skill/trade, you can do both keeping you from having to make a choice. working a part-time for security and pursue pool as well. it takes pressure off of both, in my opinion. the fact is making money in the pool world is WAY too tough, it all depends on what kind of lifestyle...

from one of the players that was there until the end: My-Hahn Lac won, but Iris Ranola won the qualifier spot caus MHL had a spot already. the finals were 9-7 - My-Hahn came from the losers side after Iris took hot seat. they didn't finish until around 1:30 am this morning. Christine Foster...

I have no idea about Richmond - the room is on the Midlothian Turnpike or something like that - technically, Midlothian Virginia I think. I would imagine that someone at one of those locations would be glad to meet up with you. better yet, sign up for the open on Saturday and see where you fall.

if you are looking for a MD/VA/DC area player, you will find them in two places this weekend: the Tiger Planet Pool event in Richmond at Diamond Billiards OR PA State 9-Ball Championship at Lucky Break Billiards in Indiana, PA. i am sure you will find someone to play with..........

Mark, You will find that most of the big events and pretty much all of the regional events are listed on AZBilliards in the calendar section. The majority of the regional tours provide their schedules per season, the independent events send via email (or are located in the forums then added)...
