    Bar Table All Around?

Mark is correct. In the Women's... Rebecca Wagner and Vivian Villareal tied for the All Around. Strongest fields we have ever had at the USBTC this year! Great event and look forward to it being even bigger and better next year!

Should the TAR table stay as is or go to standard pockets? You choose.

Would like to see you switch to Standard 4 1/2 inch pockets. Nobody likes to watch players struggle to run out. I personally would like to see some packages delivered in these longer race formats.

    Diamond Ten Ball Invitational

Jay, This should be a scheduling nightmare! HaHa! Glad we will be working with you. Sounds like a great event. Looking forward to it. BTW, where at Derby are they putting the 10 footers? In the hallway? Room was pretty tight already!

    Shuff clearly not ready

Both of our young players (Shuff & Dechaine) had a couple of rough moments on Day 1. The veterans did a great job of stepping up and helping them out. Johnny using his years of Mosconi Cup experience helped Brandon out a lot. For crying out loud, this is DAY ONE!!! Relax! Brandon will be...

Who was the one pool player that you learned the most from watching them play?

When I first started playing back in 1980 it was Nick Varner. I could not get enough of watching the way he stroke3d the ball, played position and his attitude at the table. He showed so much heart! The last 5-6 years, Shane Van Boening. I have studied his break (best on the planet) the way...

    $30 Chalk question???

What difference does the weight make? The Kamui chalk is much better at gripping the cue ball, which in turn allows for more english to be put on the cue ball without the risk of miscueing. It also cuts down on the amount of deflection vs. Master or Blue Diamond chalk. The Kamui chalk also...

Controlled easy break or slam the balls?

I used to be known for having a very hard break. However, I also used to fly the cue ball off the table and scratch way too often. Also, I found many times upon making a ball I was pushing out because I had no shot on the one. Now, after working with a coach, I hit the balls with a medium...

    bumperless ?

A rubber bumper deadens the vibration in the cue upon impact and therefore changes the way the cue feels at impact. I have taken the bumper out of my cue (Southwest) and it has nothing to do with how it looks. I like the way the cue hits better without the bumper.

Poll on Not Smoking DURING tournament matches.

Nicotine is a Performance Enhancing Drug and therefore smoking should not be allowed during a match. It calms the smoker down and therefore gives them an edge over their opponent who has to sit and wait for them to toke it up. Anyone who disagrees with the PED aspect of nicotine has never...

    USBTC Professional or not?

As somebody who was sitting 5 feet away from Shane and Stevie when Stevie called Shane "****ing dumb" because he did not agree with Stevie's whining about having to put tokens into the TV table, I think Shane should get some credit for being totally professional. He looked Stevie in the eye and...

2012 DCC Louis Roberts Action Award Voting

Can't believe Danny Smith has not been mentioned. That kid was playing sets every night. Ritchie and Scooter did more woofing in the hallways than they did playing.

Does a good cue make the player or does a good player make the cue?

I have always said, "A good cue will make a good player better, but it will not make a bad player good."

    Best One-Handed Players

I agree that Jesse Allred is the best one handed player in the game today. So far, no one has stepped up and beat him!

One Question to Anyone in Pool World

If you could ask one question to anyone living in the pool world today, who would you ask? And what is the one question you would ask them?
