The rule banning phenolic tips went into effect on June 1, 2009. It is on all cues, including jump cues. The rule was neccesary as some phenolic tips were harder than the cue ball and were tearing up the cue balls. Also very hard on cloth if the tip makes contact with it.

Thanks Christina for the news on Shane playing in The Phillipines. It is awesome that the best American player is not afraid to go there and show them that we can play in this country too! It will be great for Shane's game and I know it is something he has wanted to do for some time now...

Team should be the following: Shane VanBoening Corey Deuel John Schmit Gabe Owen Dennis Hatch Mike Davis Young guys who are hungry and can flat out play 9 ball.

They are hands down the best playing cue out there. IMO. I own a plain cue made by Kershenbrock in 1984 that my wife now plays with, and I own a 1993 SW made by Jerry Franklin. They are both superb playing cues.

I find it just the opposite - Pool seems to effect my sex. My wife and I stay out way too late playing pool and are then too tired for sex.

The tournament was "rack your own." Guys had no one to blame for the dry breaks but themselves.

Don't you think it is tougher to run off of someone else's dry break as all 15 balls are still on the table? More traffic, chances for balls to be tied up. Dan was making 2-3 balls on his breaks, less to run and fewer problems to avoid.
