I have been doing the same trick for years but with a hot dog instead of a pencil. Works pretty much the same but you are WAY more likely to get mustard on the cloth 🙁

I have sometimes just taken a screenshot of a picture I just took and it uploaded fine. I think that’s easier than downloading and using a photo editor to reduce size.
